A list of puns related to "Central Food Hall"
Just tried Meateor Burgers from the 505 Central Food Hall and it was amazing! Definitely suggest trying it out. They have curbside, delivery, and (I think) patio seating available. See linked post from u/archibot
If WF was replaced with CM in this city, most people would not notice and we would be better off.
I've noticed that both central food hall and tops supermarket sell the same items. It looks like as if they are the same company under 2 brands.
The presentation of goods at Central Food Hall is much nicer than Tops Supermarket. Does that mean Central Food Hall is more expensive?
Anyone know the main differences between the two supermarkets?
I entered the detestable warren that is IKEA at 10am this morning for a simple click and collect.
Mistake #1: Agreeing to make the trip with both my partner and her mother.
The click and collect took around 15 minutes. Bish, bash, bosh! Letβs go home!
βBut weβre here now, so we might as well have a look around. Iβll get lunch.β
Mistake #2: Accepting lunch.
Now, in case you hadnβt already guessed, I donβt have a particularly good relationship with IKEA. In my eyes itβs an endless den of debauchery where all morals and dignity are left at the door. But, since Iβve always whipped around as fast as humanly possible, Iβve never eaten there before. Iβve always heard people absolutely rave about their food. The hotdogs, the meatballs, the weird jam. Maybe this could make it all worthwhile.
Mistake #3: Optimism.
As I was herded into what seemed like some kind of school lunch hall, I was immediately assailed by the ungodly cacophony of childrenβs screams and frustrated parents.
We shuffled slowly between the stainless steel barriers feeling like cattle off to slaughter, slowly moving forwards but seemingly going nowhere.
The repetitive chant of βNo Tommy, youβre not having a fucking salmon fillet, itβs 6 quid! Now stand still!β Is still ringing in my ears.
We eventually reached the food troughs.
The poor woman behind the counter was once probably a happy person who enjoyed life. Unfortunately, being trapped in meatball purgatory had seemingly drained every last bit of her soul. As she slapped down the balls of meat, potato and peas onto the plate any remaining optimism vanished.
Verdict:
I donβt even know what the meal was like. The sensory overload was so great I canβt remember. Being chained to the ball pit in a Wacky Warehouse would have been a more relaxing experience.
Itβs now 4pm and Iβve only just got home.
I need a big drink, but Iβve got work tomorrow.
TL;DR Donβt go to the IKEA food hall if you value your sanity.
I'll admit that it's been pretty good for my diet but sometimes I just need a cheat day without being judged, okay?
Some rich person and local restaurants please open up a place....
I ate a Wiley for breakfast literally ran out of bacon and eggs. Went to Windsor and they ran out of cookies, soup, and quessadillas at 12:30. WTH is going on, I know its not the dining employees fault they are always such hard workers. Is it supply chain or population growth? LOL
Hi all,
We arrived last month and so far really loving it, except this tipping culture and GST thats not included (what the hell is up with that??) even though everyone pays it...
Anyway, I was at the First Street Market yesterday and ordered some Mexican food (which was awesome by the way) but was surprised that when I paid I was asked to select tip amount even though this is just over the counter service. I mean you have decided that you dont tip for fast food, so what gives with these guys where its basically a glorified food hall (a concept that I totally dig by the way)?
Is it considered ok to not tip them? I didnt tip for my coffee but tipped for the food 15%.
yesterday Dhall was serving the driest, chalk like, chicken breast, with cinnamon. There was no salt or brown sugar, so it tasted like chalky cinnamon. Do these guys not know how to cook or am I just used to eating real food?
I work in this food hall, thereβs a big silly projector and huge sound system for people to watch movies or sports or whatever on, itβs rarely turned on or used ever. Today when I got to work a schedule for Wednesday night movie nights for the rest of January had been posted. Tonight for their maiden screening they are playing the 2004 Clive Owen King Arthur. Iβm more than puzzled by this choice and was curious of other blankies opinions.
