A list of puns related to "Celtic Ash"
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
#What Is This?
Almost 10 years ago a user organized a vote of everyone's favorite albums which the mods have been using in welcome packages for new people. We wanted to update the list with music from the last ten years as well as a wider pool of participants. In total, 273 Users submitted a list of 50 albums with no more than two albums per band,. The users voted in total for 3361 albums from 1970 - 2021.
A list of everyone's favorite albums isnt a definitive list of essential and important heavy metal rather the collection of albums people enjoy. Imagine if you asked a room full of people their favorite records. This is what it is. What all lists can be are tools for people to discover new metal. No one cares what #1 is versus #317 rather this is a collected list of what 273 people found to be their favorite metal record when asked. If it is helpful or enlighten to you, then it is successful. If you find one record off of this to listen to then this list did its job.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
The time has come again to gather pine boughs and light the candles of red and silver, gold and green. The cool breezes and smoke-and-loam scented air of autumn is giving way to the frigid winds and pale sun of winter.Β Β Snow, ice, and sleet dominate the days, and a gently gray haze sifts over the treetops, filtering the sun and soaking into clothing and bones, settling the long cold ahead into our very marrow.Β Β The harvests have been stored, the animals brought in from the field, the fields themselves turned for the seasons, the scrapped remnants of crops burned and turned with the soil to provide nutrients for the following year.Β Β The old folks settle into warm rooms with the youngsters, trading stories and traditions as they rub sore joints and comfort little runny noses.Β Β Candlelight, hearth fires, and warm ovens abound as the natural light of the sun fades and the days grow short.Β Β Lights, warmth, and love are shared at this time to fend off the sadness and loss of the sun, to ward off the reminders of death and age that abound in the winter, and to celebrate the light and life that will come again in the spring.Β Β It is a time of rest, introspection, story-telling, hobby building, warmth, and love.
Post your lore, your traditions, what Yule means to you, recipes, plans; go nuts ya filthy animals!
Yule:
What It Is: Pronounced YOOL, this holiday is the winter solstice and longest night of the year.Β Celebrated in late December in the northern hemisphere and late June in the southern hemisphere, it's the official heralding of winter in the farming calendar and midwinter to pagans and laypeople everywhere.
The Wiccan community sees this time as when the God is reborn after dying at the harvest.Β Other pagan traditions view it as the rebirth of the sun or the astronomical turning point from the dark half of the year to the light half at Litha. Days afterwards will begin to lengthen, though it may not be noticeable until Imbolc.Β The Holly and the Oak kings battle, and Holly lays down his crown so Oak can pick up his until Litha comes and they battle again.
Festivals and holidays are common in places where the axial tilt of the planet effects the seasons, and the further towards the poles you go, the more important they seem to be.Β Maybe this is due to the fact that the further to the poles you go, the cold is harsher and the sunlight sparse, and humans don't do well without some vitamin D e

You could argue the difference between coverage, feedback, and evaluation but Blacklist still fell way short in terms of evaluating the script. Blacklist serves a specific purpose and I get that, this post is merely to show the wide range of different feedback you can get and if you're looking for some extra notes or a little extra push to get that script from good to great, Fiverr is your better option.
Blacklist - $75 Turnaround 4 days. 3 to get a reader assigned and 1 day for the reader to respond (this made me nervous)
"Strengths
The script contains an epic and sprawling scope and is admirably ambitious. It's a heart-breaking story and given where immigration is today -- it feels relevant socially and culturally. The script has some complex themes and poses intriguing questions about the American dream as it analyzes what this family sacrifices for a supposedly better life. In that sense, the audience feels a great deal of empathy toward them -- especially as they go on the journey with them toward America. While the script's world building could be a bit more fleshed out and the period details right now are a bit meager, it's a truly lean and involving read and the beats are hit very well and clearly. The script has a great sense of pacing, timing, rhythm and economy. The description sentences are concise while also managing to be evocative.
Weaknesses
The dialogue in the script right now feels a bit stilted and awkward. A lot of what the characters are saying seems to be on-the-nose, where characters are saying exactly what they mean/what's on their mind and meaning what they say. A lot of the characters also seem to have the same voice. Finding ways to differentiate their language all throughout will help the read. Similarly, the worlds and environments right now are lacking in period detail. There's a missed opportunity to wax visual and paint vivid images in the reader's head about the environments. Right now, they're described so briefly that the reader doesn't really get a sense of what this world is supposed to land feel like. The stakes in the script don't quite feel as high as they should especially given the nature of the premise. Finding ways to make things as difficult as possible for this family as they struggle to adapt and acclimate to America will help this script land even better than it currently does. TV seri

I've had this crazy question while I was watching the show.
What do you think?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

I know this is a highly requested fight, and other requested fights are Ash fighting Lucy Heartfillia from Fairy Tail, and Yugi fighting either Dan Kuso from Bakugan, or Gingka Hagane from Beyblade Metal series, but I'm gonna explain in full detail on my opinion on that request, rather than just outright jump to conclusions.
Exhibit A: The Connections
The Connections between Ash and Yugi is that they are both dubbed by the same company, 4Kids Entertainment notorious for censoring Anime, and poor dubbing, but Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were animated by different Anime studios, but both franchises switched Animation Styles multiple times, both combatants have Monsters that they can work with, think very strategically, both of them won some competitions (Ash for the Battle Challenges, Orange League, and Alola League and hopefully the World Coronation Series, and Yugi for Duelist Kingdom, and Battle City though I haven't watched past Season 3 of Duel Monsters) they both fought opponents that are far stronger than them, and they have Powerful Forces to protect them (Ash with the Power of the Aura, and Yugi with the Millennium Puzzle with the Soul of the Pharaoh.) And both have befriended some of the most powerful monsters (Stated in the Movies which argues which are canon and which are not that Ash has befriended a lot of Legendary Pokemon, especially Mewtwo, Lugia, Latias, Arceus, Victini, Hoopa, Solgaleo, and even Zacian, but the only Legendary that he has officially caught was Melmetal, while Yugi's most powerful monsters are the 3 Egyptian God Monsters, Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormenter, and the Winged Dragon of Ra.)
Exhibit B: Their Teams
While Ash has a full team of Pokemon with various powers to boost their stats, Yugi has a Deck full of Monsters, Trap Cards, and Magic Cards, it is very simple to analyze a Pokemon Team, but it is difficult to analyze a Yu-Gi-Oh Card Deck, but I'll Try to look through Yugi's Deck, now Ash's most powerful Pokemon were the Pokemon he spent the most training with, Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, Greninja, Lycanroc, and Lucario, I haven't even watched the Advanced Generation so I'm just gonna talk about the other 6, Pikachu was his partner for the entire series, Charizard was rough around the edges and it took until the near end of the Johto Saga for Charizard to fully listen to

I will save my personal belief system and philosophy for the end. In this post we will go over various underworld. Note that this is done to the best of my knowledge. However, there are many questions about Death and the Afterlife, and it's my hope this will help you to understand that inevitability more. I originally wrote this to answer a Witch's question but felt It deserved it's own post. Also it's been a while since one of my articles. Buckle in, this is a long one.
This is a complex question. There are many beliefs and many underworlds, and each of those will act differently. Hades is not the same as Irkalla. Irkalla is not the same as the "Next World" from Egypt. Neither of those is similar to Xibalba. What the true answer is we will find out upon our death I suppose. Thus far no one has lived to tell us about it. However, I will discuss a few of them. Hopefully this will give you a broader perspective on the nature of the afterlife as a whole, and allow you to come to your own conclusions on the subject.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let us start with the Infamous Hell. Hell as a concept comes from Zoroastrianism. The original design behind it was as a motivator. This is a fate that waits, so you are encouraged to be a good person, participate properly in society, obey the laws, etc. If you complete these tasks set before you, you will reach a Heaven where you have none of the struggles you face in life.
However, over time the message of this underworld was twisted into a punishment. A place where people deserved to go for their misdeeds. In the process this lead to the justification of some truly horrific acts of brutality and savagery. The exact acts that the design of Hell was meant to prevent ironically.
What ever hell is now, is vastly different from it's origin. It is now seen as part of a binary duality of good vs evil, wicked vs just. This type of division is not something I'm personally a fan of. The world is more complex than two answers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a similar side of underworlds to Hell we have Xibalba. Now it should be noted that, it doesn't matter if you were good or evil, or what deeds you did in life. Xibalba is the same for everyone. It is a truly horrific place that roughly translates to "Place of

Previous Government: Huber Ministry
In his eight years in Government, Aldrich Huber achieved many conservative reforms, such as the continuation of of the Jewish Exclusion act, a ban on gambling, elimination of land value taxes in favor of excise taxes, a ban on paper currency, expansion into the Ustrors, a hawkish foreign policy, chartering of a slave trade company and such.
The Whigs held a Conference to elect their new Leader, and two candidates ran for the spot of Whig leader. One of them being Robert Ackley, a Whig member of Parliament from the constituency of Hercow and Shadow Secretary of State for Defence to Aldercy Yemm. Ackley was overall aligned with the Whig orthodoxy, supporting georgist tax policies and classical liberal social and economic reforms, however he voted in favor of the Gaming Act, the Temperate Elections Act and the Law and Order Act, which many Whigs did not. However he made a reputation by wholly denouncing the Witch Hunts in a famous speech; Horod Stuart Planks was the member of Parliament from Riley North, who became famous for his contributions in the native citizenship debate, where he went as far as he denouncing the Christianization commission of the Huber Government, arguing that ''emancipation for pagans is the only way to ensure order and relief to the people of our Southern lands''. Like Ackley, Planks strongly supported Land Value taxes, lower tariffs, and opposed the Jewish Exclusion Act, however he differed with the Whig orthodoxy by supporting a national bank.
Ultimately, Ackley won 150 delegates out of 299, over 149 of Planks, and thus won the leadership of the Whig Party. Planks was appointed as Deputy Leader of the Party. Ackley focused his acceptance speech on the repeal of Jewish Exclusion and the reduction of taxes, stating that ''Yarwood's Jewish Exclusion Act, which mr. Yemm voted for, was perhaps the most counter-productive piece of legislation in history, we happen to lose out on some businesses instead of preventing the influence of the Jew'' and stating that ''relief for the hard working farmer may only happen if our tariffs and taxes are significantly slashed'', and seemingly stating that ''A free Nation will lose its freedom if it accepts to lose long-term freedom for short-term safety'' and that ''there is no such thing as a temporary government solution''. Ackley als
