(i)Don't assume that this is indigenous people doing it. We have no idea who the actual arsonists are and the authorities have said that its unconfirmed. For all we know it could be just agent provocateurs.
(ii)Don't assume that most indigenous people support this. Many First Nations chiefs have condemned these attacks and have actually offered security to these Churches. Many of the Churches themselves that were burned are indigenous Churches so many of the indigenous communities that attend these parishes have condemned these attacks. Out in Kamloops there was a residential school survivor in their 90s mourning the burning of their Church because they said it was built by their ancestors and they felt it was an attack on their community.
(iii)This is the most obvious but don't assume this helps indigenous communities. To me this actually distracts attention from where the focus should be. The genocide of indigenous peoples by a state policy of the federal government implemented by the Churches of all different denominations.
Justice to me that's actually effective is very simple. Implement all of the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and not just half measures whether it be guaranteed rights to health care, abolition of the doctrine of discovery in our legal codes, overhauling child welfare, compensation packages to residential school survivors, etc. Then implement all the calls to action of the missing and murdered inquiry when it comes to stopping that genocidal phenomenon as well. There are actual effective ways of pursuing justice for indigenous communities that decolonises the genocidal structures built on their backs. This is does nothing and many indigenous leaders have condemned it anyways.
Sorry for the n00b question if it is one and not agreeing with anything unlawful that might have been going on, but I see a lot of the charges that were filed against these people were for possession of hollow-point ammunition. Is that a crime in NJ, or only if you're already in possession of an illegal weapon? I can't see how it is sold everywhere if it's illegal to possess.
I guess it was God's plan to kill her and injure another teacher. No problem, confession will absolve him.

Historically the Catholic Church has controlled most of Europe and has been responsible for widespread anti-semitism through the blood libel, the accusation that Jews are responsible for the killing of Jesus, the expulsions and pogroms, and support of Fascism during the 20s.
