i saw this shirt on Stranger Things and couldn't figure out what the name of the town was for a few eps and it was driving me crazy. then i started googling around and found Castroville, CA has an artichoke fest every year. didn't see the shirt anywhere so i made one myself! it's a little sketchy around the 'castroville' part, but otherwise i'm pretty pleased with how it came out!

Just found while Surface Hunting in South Central Texas. Thought it was a Marshall because of the base, but it is in fact a Castroville as seen by the notches turning inward! It made my day to find a complete point with only slight ancient damage 🍀

This is from Artichoke Basille’s Pizza on 5th in Park Slope. Finally gave in and ordered a 12” pie after hearing so many rave about it.
Did I just get a crappy pie or am I missing something about the appeal? The crust is way too thick, there was too much globby cream/cheese mix on top which turned the overly thick crust soggy. It also doesn’t taste like artichokes at all. It tastes like bread and cream.
