I know that this question has probably been asked before on this sub, but with it being Carl’s birthday I thought it would be nice for us to share some of our favorite Carl vocals/songs from over the years. Here’s a few of mine.

All This Is That (Carl’s “jai guru dev” vocal at the end gives me chills)
I’ll Bet He’s Nice (Carl’s vocal on the bridge of this song takes it to another level IMO)
And in terms of songs written mostly by Carl my favorites are Long Promised Road and The Trader, and I really love his vocals on both of those songs as well.
if you really think about it, everything wrong with beach boys is really carl wilson’s fault. they blame everything on mike love but it’s all carl.
Anyone know why they changed the character for King Kong 1976?
Discovered the song “The Grammy” from Carl’s 1981 solo album not too long ago. It seems as if it hasn’t gotten much attention. What do you guys think about it? I’m not sure how to feel but I kind of like this one!
I've decided to have a thread discussing each of the 7 Beach Boys, today Carl. I specifically wanna explore his writing and relationship with band mates (especially Brian and Bruce) and how he felt when Brian was gone. Look forward to conversing with you all.

Hiah. Thought I'd do a poll for what people think is Carl Wilson's best song he wrote (either solely or is first listed writer on) for the Beach Boys.

My methodology: I basically took all the tracks here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_the_Beach_Boys
Sorted them alphabetically and took down the tracks that either Carl wrote on his own or when he is listed as the first writer in the credits. I chose this method as I don't want to get into arguments such as how much of How She Boogalooed It was written by Carl, vs Bruce, etc. Not counting covers such as I Can Hear Music either in this poll. Simply songs Carl Wrote alone or is primary (or first) writer on for the Beach Boys.
