A list of puns related to "Caribbean English"
Hey would love someone to help me understand Songs I listen to, and other nuances in Spanish songs.
Hello peeps!
I am a 19 year old university student studying on the west coast of the US but have lived in other parts of the country as well. I'm originally from the Caribbean and grew up with both Spanish and English as my native languages. I have a burgeoning passion for Russian culture, history, and language, which is my main motivator for learning the language.
My hobbies include: gaming, reading (history, fantasy, sci-fi, other non-fiction), learning new and random things that interest me.
If you would like to learn either conversational or even semi-advanced English and/or Spanish in preparation for a trip, an event, or just general curiosity, comment below or PM me and maybe we can sort something out!
Cheers
I am from Trinidad and Tobago and outside of immigrants from Spanish speaking countries like Venezuela and Cuba, we don't really have any meaningful interactions with the people of Latin America nor do we discuss that region too much and I think this is very sad. I was wondering what the general feeling people in these countries had toward us(if they even have any feelings at all)
I have never gone to the movies when I was younger and I have recently just saw pirates of the Caribbean and I fell in love with the movie and I am looking for recommendations of movies that are given a must see by you or someone you know (my last post was removed because it wasnβt descriptive enough lol)
From its inception to its official end, preferably from Spanish speaking Caribbean nations.
Doing research, really want to avoid western based perspectives on how things were back then.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated!!!
Please and thank you π
Hello! I'm 28F. I would like find a pen friend who are interested in to talk with a interesting person like me lol... Well, i don't speak so good but i want improve it. I could teach you Spanish as well. Thank for readme.
Before the pandemic I celebrated Christmas in both the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico and was amazed at how similar their traditional Christmas foods were to ours, they called them by different names but they were essentially the same things. I think the language barrier makes communication so difficult that we don't realize just how similar we are to one another.
What similarities have you found between the different linguistic island groups.
I'm looking for someone who would be fine with email (or simular), or SMS/IM exchanges. I'd be open to practice over voice or video later on. It's also important to note that my work schedule changes from week to week, so flexibility would be super appreciated on the part of my Spanish speaking friend!
English (US & CA) is my native language and my French is B1 (if interested for practice). My Spanish is definitely A1, but I'm getting pretty comfortable with the present tense so far. For reference, my time zome is GMT -04:00 (Toronto/ New York time).
Muchos gracias a todos leer este!

Hey guys!
So, I have been trying to make a move to the Caribbean & cannot decide which island to move to. I'm from India btw. I have about USD $250k in savings & a steady monthly income of almost $800 a month. If I have to move to the Caribbean permanently, which island is the best option for me?
Thanks.

It says:
> Going on vacation during the pandemic is big colonizer energy
I see the strange hold that Christianity has on my culture and it is sickening that people would be as militant against non believers than the people who purposefully forced us into believing these fairy tales.
It's about a group of kids trying to find somewhere to live and they're traveling during a pandemic (world ending maybe? I remember getting a human society collapsed vibe). The symptoms include lethargy and coughing up blood IIRC. They come across a dead body but it wasn't graphically described. The older kids know what it is but they steer the younger ones away.
At the end they come upon a manor? or something like that that's out of the way, with no one living there and lots of plants and decide to live there. At least I think it's the end.
Thanks ppl. Stay safe!
The black Caribbean population in the UK is in decline so I'm interested to know are people from places like Jamaica & Barbados looking elsewhere if they do decide to migrate?
For example, Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, or Trinidad and Tobago.
I never understood why they use names like Jefferson, James, jeison, danovis, davinson, edwis, dorlan, yerry, Frank, etc. Those names sound very bad, why they do not give their children more common names such as Lucas, Matias, Franco or Santiago, the names in English sound too ugly
Edit: my name is ELΓAS, I chose Elijah because Elias was already busy and I don't like putting points or numbers in the name of Reddit
