A list of puns related to "Cardanoβtartaglia Formula"
I did a quick search on why Gerolamo Cardano for the projects name. But they don't mention this.
Story short: Cardano and Tartaglia were friends but they had a conflict. Tartaglia who had a formula to solve certain type of cubic equations, but did not publish his findings. Tartaglia shared this with Cardano.
Cardano actually improved upon Tartaglia's work by making any general cubic equation solvable by turning those equations to a solvable form by Targlia's method.
Is Charles, Cardano and Vitalik, Tartaglia?

For the life of me I cannot understand why we donβt consider other combinations of signs in our final answer in this derivation of cardanoβs formula. Why donβt we consider the minus minus and plus plus combination? Why only the plus minus combination?
I've noticed a few issues in the last month or so and I wanted to clarify some misinformation and address current small stake pools concerns:
Please read this IOHK blog post which addresses at least #1 and #2, maybe even #3.
Small SPOs, hang in there. If you are serious about running a stake pool, this should definitely provide a heavy dose of optimism.
My 2nd strongest team is the International Team, all level 80/80. Who should I prioritize for max DPS?
EDIT: Tartaglia has Amos's Bow, everyone else has 4 star weps: Iron Sting, Catch, Sac Sword, respectively
I started playing in version 2.0. Tartaglia was my first limited five star. Like everyone else here, I'm in love with the boy - my favorite character in the entire game, both in terms of personality and gameplay, etc. In 2.4 I'm going to get Zhongli for my Hu Tao and I'm going to skip Ganyu (with some sadness in my heart). Right. After Zhongli, the focus would be full on Kazuha for our guy Tartaglia... until Yae Miko's announcement. This game is cursed, an addictive drug that wraps you up like that... Everyone knows it, etc. So far I have weathered the FOMO very well, focusing only on two DPSs, Tartaglia and Hu Tao....until the arrival of Yae Miko. Yae Miko, Yae Miko. Besides her, there are rumors that the Electro element will be reworked, will be strengthened along with Yae. Anyway. Like everyone else, I really like her personality and I believe she will be very strong - precisely the reasons why Tartaglia and Hu Tao are my favorite characters. Ganyu is powerful but her personality is boring, while Xinyan has the personality that I love but she is very weak. Just to name a few examples. So, for me it's rare when it coincides that the character has a strong personality for me and is strong. Anyway. I know very well that this is another case of FOMO and that this game lives off it, it makes money like that. I know Yae Miko will be back, I know new players like me should just focus on reruns. Etc. But it's hard not to think about Yae Miko. There are only two ways for me to get this character and Kazuha at the same time: either be really lucky or get my credit card. Both alternatives seem unlikely to me (I bought the battle pass twice and the welkin once just to see how it works, but I don't intend to spend a penny on this game anymore because currency conversion in my country is too expensive). Anyway. For those of you who are going through a similar dilemma, or for those of you who care in some way, can we come together? Would you kindly please the reasons why I should focus firmly on the boy Kazuha and skip Yae Miko totally if she comes in the first 2.5 banner? Can we help each other? Finally, this post is just a joke (or not), we're all adults here (I think) and it's obvious that in the end I won't spend money I don't want. Anyway. Let's help each other? Thank you in advance, comrades!
Like, okay, I always call him Childe, but i have seen others call him Tartaglia, can it be interchangeable? Like, is there a name that's Canon? And what about Ajax? Or is Ajax like his " deadname"?
As someone who has both C0 Tartaglia/Childe and C0 Hu Tao using 4* Rust (r2) and 4* Dragon's Bane (r3) , I wanted to pitch in my thoughts about which is the "better" option. My situation may not apply to everyone but I hope it helps anyone who wants a second opinion. I know they serve different roles so the comparison isn't entirely fair but the main aspect I want to focus on is how easily they would fit into the teams of the average player.
Context: I am full F2P. This means I have no access to BP weapons and never bought any IAPs or Welken pass. And unfortunately rngsus has not been on my side to give me any 5* weapons they can use. I've been playing for over half a year (took 3-mo break) and both are my go-to characters for Abyss Floor 12 clears. I got Childe during his first run and because of my break, my account was in about the same progression as when I got Hu Tao. I'm no expert at the game and doing whatever so apologies in advance if some of this feels too anecdotal or lacking nuance.
There are many variations in terms of how these characters can fit in teams but I'm mostly going to discuss around the popular comps. There are other references out there for how exactly to build the team since that's too much to discuss for this post.
Tl;dr: Beginners will have a much better time using Hu Tao than Childe due to Childe's drastically higher team building requirements (both are tricky to use but a little bit of research will save you a lot of trouble). She is the reason that I felt motivated to play the game again because I was struggling so much with my under-built account and had too much difficulty clearing basic content when I was maining Childe.
If you're a veteran player who already has a strong roster of 4*'s, it's hugely a matter of play style preference and what coverage you currently need. They both have their unique strength in the right teams so check out YouTube videos on how they play and see what works for you.
The most important point I want to make is while their C1s will probably be great to have, it's not mandatory to get good mileage out of both of these characters. So don't decide to skip them only because you don't have enough gems to C1 them.
1. Both characters need high ascension as well as decent weapon level and talent level to start seeing results.
When I got Hu Tao, it took until I got her to lvl 80 with passable Artifacts to start seeing her do actual damage. Before that point

... is that he applies Wet status not only on enemies.
Just a casual question based on rumours, it's not meant to be taken seriously or anything is confirmed, it's just speculative fun. So, apparently Kazuha would not come now in 2.5, only in 2.6 (if Kazuha comes then the doubt is zero). So, considering that it would just be Yae Miko, Raiden or Kokomi as 2.5 banners, which one would have more synergy in a team with our boy? I would honestly like to have all three, but I like to combine preference with efficiency. Thanks in advance, comrades!
So, after the third part of the Labyrinth Warriors event was released, we can safely say that Scaramouche has indeed ran off with the gnosis of Ei and locating him is the reason as to why Childe was in Inazuma at the first place. Based on Childe's final words to the traveler though, we can also assume certain things regarding to the future storyline. I will include his exact words below:
I'll let the Gnosis run for a while longer. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you discover its whereabouts. When that time comes, Traveler, what will you choose to do? And where is your final destination?
Now let's analyze that: The first sentence indicates that for now, he will stop searching for his whereabouts as he got nothing out of his trip to Inazuma. No doubts here.
The second sentence is where the real interpretation begins for me. First of all, assuming Mihoyo uses his words to forshadow the future events, we can tell that the traveler will ran into Scaramouche at some point in the story, most likely before or during Sumeru. Otherwise, why even bother to use Scaramouche running away from the Fatui with the gnosis as a plot device?
The last two sentences of Childe's quote though are even more questionable for me. He is talking about the traveler's choice and final destination. Starting with the choice, we need to consider what possible choices the traveler could have upon meeting with Scaramouche. To me it seems like Scaramouche is a very powerful individual, something that Yae Miko hinted to us when she explained his relation to Ei. Another thing that was hinted from the Labyrinth Warriors event, is that Childe is excepetionally strong as well, more so than the traveler. Thing is though, when comparing Childe and Scaramouche, we can't be sure who'd be the strongest one, but what we can tell easily is that the traveler would not be able to win a duel versus Scaramouche. With these assumptions out of the way, we can consider the possible ways the story would unfold:
Let's say the traveler meets Scaramouche and choosing to fight him would be suicide. What could they do? This is where the first choice comes in hand. They can choose to fight him, which honestly makes no sense as not only will he overpower them, but also the traveler seemed very reluctant to involve themselves into the whole Inazuma mess. Traveler is also (for the most part) a logical thinker, meaning that they wouldn't jump into danger for no reason like that UNLESS, their impu

But there's something that bothers me a lot: the English version of the game mispronounces the name "Tartaglia", leading most players to also mispronounce it.
Tartaglia is his Harbinger title, and as most of you know, Harbinger names are based on Commedia dell Arte, an Italian type of theatre. So the name "Tartaglia" is Italian.
In Italian, when the letters "gl" are followed by the letter "i" it became a digraph (two letters that become a single sound). So a "gl" followed by an "ia" will make a sound similar to "lya".
The correct pronunciation of Tartaglia is "Tartalya", basically you skip over the g.
In the Chinese, Japanese and Korean versions it is rightly pronounced. Probably because they don't use the same alphabets so it's transcribed phonetically, making it easier for the voice actors to get it right. (ex: in Japanese, it's " γΏγ«γΏγͺγ€ ", "Tarutaria", which is the closest to the correct pronunciation in Japanese.)
I'm not blaming the English voice actor, as I'm not expecting everyone to know how to perfectly pronounce Italian (I myself don't speak Italian). I just think it's a shame that no one in the voice directing team made the efforts to do researches on the correct pronunciation and taught correctly their voice actors. Like come on, it's not even like it's hard to pronounce it or anything.
I know Tartaglia is not the only character that got a mispronounced name in the English version, but I almost never see anyone bringing this up.
I hope this at least got more people to learn how to say his name right!
