Hi Reddit, Candi Milo here. I've been blessed to have an amazing career doing what I love, creating voices and entertaining others. I'm glad to be a part of your childhood. I had a unique childhood growing up, and it made me the woman I am today. I've seen failures and successes, and I triumphed over adversity and persevered. I'm publishing my memoir "Surviving the Odd". I also want to talk about what its like to be the "clean up girl", meaning I do multiple voices on episodes of new shows coming up: StoryBots. Interrupting Chicken. Curious George. Looney Tunes.

Her voice is so perfect for Irma, I hear it in my head when I read her lines in the comics. She also provides about 80% of the shows humour, save for Blunk. She's too good! How did they get the voice of Dexter on this show compared to the rest of the main cast who only have had a few roles? I know we had Grey DeLisle as Miranda, Kath Soucie as Nerissa.... anyone else springs to mind?

A few months ago, I made a post saying Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion was the original MultiVersus and I still believe that. While this CN Smash Bros. game is far from a masterpiece, I still had a hell of a good time playing it as a kid. The combat system is fun, the items and assists are entertaining, the stages are creative, and the story mode is like the ultimate CN fanfic. And yes, the graphics do look funky in some places, but I believe the passion behind this project overrules most of the issues this game has on display. This game is a celebration of everything Cartoon Network as it contains clips from classic CN shows and many excellent alternate costumes that please my inner CN fanboy. One of the other flaws that most bring up is the voice acting and I do see where they're coming from. The game manages to bring back the original voice actors for almost half the roster (Both Ben 10s, Flapjack, Blossom, Billy, Mandy, Bloo, Numbuh 1, etc), but then gets people to do mediocre impressions for the other half and the assists (Dexter, Buttercup, Chowder, Cheese, Gazpacho, etc.) I'm not saying all the impressions are bad, but a lot of them really stick out like a sore thumb. They seriously couldn't get Candi Milo or Phil LaMarr to reprise their roles for this game? Luckily, the story mode and stages more than make up for this glaring flaw. I'm not joking when I say that the creators of the game made some of the most creative levels and stages I've ever seen in a video game and still managed to stay 100% faithful to the shows. And having an engaging story mode as well as SPACE GHOST as the narrator puts this game far above any of the recent Smash games. In short, CN PTE may be uneven in some parts, but it's still an amazing game that doesn't deserve to associated with other lesser Smash clones (Looking at you, Nick All-Star Brawl.)

From the moment Elliot found the cat he knew it was a little odd. Most obviously there was the coat. A tabby cat, at least by day, by night the cat sported a coat of many colors. Its thin bands of black fur changed to suit its mood or environment, and the warm brown could grow very much warmer, or chill all the way to midnight blue. Often, Elliot would find the cat stretched out on a windowsill as the sun went down. They would sit together as the moon rose and the cat decided his colors for the night. He seemed happiest with silver bands, as if little strips of moonlight had come down to clothe him.

There was also the fact that the cat knew his name. Elliot tried to call him many things: Simba, Charlie, Smokey. He tried Milo after Google told him it was very popular and the cat (silver striped that night) shook his head immediately and rammed his nose into Elliot’s. He tried Sampson on account of the cat’s magic hair, and Kit Kat just because. And then, when Elliot was very sure that he’d never know the cat’s name, it darted out through the open window and disappeared into the alley where Elliot had found him.

In the morning the cat returned, an empty mochi box clutched between his teeth.

“Mochi?” Elliot said.

Mochi the cat nodded and rammed his nose into Elliot’s again.

They found a rhythm in their cloistered days. Outside a pandemic raged. Inside, Elliot found that not much had changed. When the lockdowns set in he’d shut himself in and locked his doors like the rest of them, turned to delivery apps and Netflix, and occasionally his guitar, though all his passions had waned steadily in the last years.

So together they waited, but when the sun set all their rhythm fell away and Mochi sat in his windowsill, all the colors of his fur shifting until Elliot opened the window and let him out again.

And every morning Mochi would come back, hopping through the window onto Elliot’s chest with the night’s discovery clutched between his teeth.

Like his fur and his name, these too were a little odd. Mochi brought him little keys and little boxes that never matched each other, he brought postcards and stamps, tattered photos and expired plane tickets. Mochi dropped them onto Elliot’s chest and then stared down at his human, bumping noses until Elliot dragged himself out of bed.

He pried most of the little boxes open. There was never anything in them but a scent; Elliot could have spent a lifetime trying to define them. They smelled like… Freedom. The outdoor

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Would that constitute indecent assault? Homer didn't intend to grab her butt or did what he did for the sake of sexual gratification, but there was an assault (in that he intended the 'physical contact' and did it) and you could infer that given the area that either the assault itself would constitute an element of indecency or the circumstances (his expression, saying "precious venus" and the tone in which he said it - which could be referring to a woman?) would suggest he was obtaining sexual gratification.

Is that correct? How would you interpret this if not?

It wasn't knocking. It was pounding. A banging, like thunder, that rattled the patio door and echoed down the hall.

I looked up at my sister, Sofia, and my brother, Milo. We were all huddled around Nanny’s bedside, spooked by the intensity of the sound.

The pounding persisted. It became clear that this person wasn’t going away.

I muttered, “Holy Christ. Let’s not all get up at once.” I nodded to Sofia, “Stay with Nanny,” then I grabbed my brother's arm, “Milo, come with.”

He begrudgingly obliged, a wary look in his eyes.

We followed the banging, tip-toeing carefully down the hall.

Peering through the peephole, I saw a motley crew of characters on our porch. The porch light was dim, but you could make out the silhouettes of Deputy Ronald, old man Gumble, our neighbor Mary Mack and the Cowten twins.

Old man Gumble was the one crashing his fist against the door. His scowling face and liver- spotted hands kept pounding away, like we owed him rent. The impact forced me to recoil from the peep hole.

“ Do....do we open it?” I asked.

Milo’s face was drained of everything. Expression. Color. Courage.

“Gee...I don’t know. They look pissed.” He paused, peeking through the corner of the drawn blinds. “Were you and Sofia stealing candy from him, again?

I scoffed, “God, sakes, Milo. That was once. When we were little kids.”

“Open up, kids,” Deputy Ronald barked. “We know you're in there. We need to speak to Elda.”

I bit my nails as old man Gumble kept pounding away. For a seventy year old man, he sure could punch with conviction.

We were always taught to respect our elders, like most people from the town of Berkville. That’s why this late night visit was so jarring. They knew this was past Nanny’s bed time. They knew she needed her rest.

We were taught to respect our elders in this town, especially Nanny Elda.

She was something of a town legend. Everyone had their stories. But her own, from her childhood, from a country far, far away from Berkville or Canada, those stories were of survival. Real struggle, real hardship, real poverty. She used to joke that being poor in Canada was like winning the lottery. When she moved to Berkville, a single mother, she had nothing by Canadian standards. Just an accent and an immigrant's work ethic that few locals could understand.
