Apparently the official Scotland magnet fishing FB group are the only people who can give you permission to fish on canals. I tried to join but must be rejected.

Your FC could sit in your airship/submarine, and you could pick paths that may or may not end up in disaster. Like the Aquapolis, the more successful your route-choice is, the more loot you can obtain!
Maybe make it riskier in that if you choose the wrong path, you crash/go belly up and lose 50% to 75% your acquired loot and at the end of the path, you could find another voyage leading to a different area with different loot that you could start from next time.
Now you're asking "Well, what about the parts?" We could perhaps use different Submarines/Airships that have different parts compared to our Retainer Airships/Submarines. Some would prevent us from taking enough damage to crash, some would have a loot-saving feature, and some would have an emergency-backup feature like how the Aquapolis monsters would vomit us back in.
The loot could also be evenly distributed/rolled upon, but since there are many people in an FC, I'm not sure how this could be done. They could even put it on a cool down like our current airship system to prevent our current Map Treasure-Hunting from being replaced.
I think this would help FCs bond together, as it would be more of an event, compared to our current system where airships and submarines are mostly managed by a few select people.
Any criticisms, or suggestions to this idea? I think it would be pretty neat, but more input would be nice.
