Canadian Mist Classic dated 1975 in Dad’s closet. Quality questions.
Sealed 750ml bottle of Canadian Mist Classic (12-year old, 40% by volume) found while cleaning out-of-state Dad’s closet.
Likely bought at Duty Free during a vacation border crossing when I was a kid - I just turned 60. Unbroken label says 1975.
Does that make the whiskey 50?
Is it still potable?
I’d like to gift it to the neighbor who watched our pets during our bereavement.
Forgive my ignorance, I don’t drink - Mom did that for all of us, bless her heart.

Canadian mist is atrocious
I bought it bc it was on sale for a ridiculous price, but holy WOW is that aftertaste bad. Pour a glass of bad red wine and leave it sitting out all night. That’s the most prominent flavor I get. Never again.
Listened to a couple of y’all and after finishing that Canadian Mist, picked up some 101. So far I like it. Also, don’t beat me up for this, but, any recommendations on a good mixer with it?

What are you’re thoughts on Canadian Mist? I’m usually a beer guy, but thought I’d give whiskey a try. On a budget this week and didn’t feel like dropping $30 or more so keep that in mind.

Is there something similar to the "Maid of the Mist" but from the Canadian side?
Hi everyone. I'm thousands of miles away so I don't quite know the place.
I'll be on NYC on late April 2019 and normally there should be a reasonable chance that I might get to use the Maid of the mist boat. BUT, considering that this winter was so cold (was it?) I think the openinig might get postponed to May.
So, in that case if I still want to see the falls on a similar fashion I should go to the Canadian side and take a boat there. How do they operate? are they working on April even if it's cold?
If you know some services that do this, what would you recommend?

Canadian Mist Black Diamond, 8.99 a bottle?
My local liquor store sell this at 8.99 a bottle and I have been all over it. My comrades think it's like a Mr. Boston whiskey because of its price. I'm on a budget and I like drinking. I think it's a fine product.
