A list of puns related to "Cam Neely"
A tale of misfortune including Barry Pederson, who had surgery to remove muscle mass just before the trade, then Dan Quinn, then the big deal for Geoff Courtnall and Sergio Momesso and Cliff Ronning. This trade resulted in thousands of games played over fifteen years! Well worth the look.
First year playing Hut and was hoping those with a little more experience could offer their opinion. I bought Cam Neely's 95 Icons card over the weekend as I am working towards building an all time Bruins team. I am actually debating selling him and using the coins elsewhere as I have a Few Nat wingers sitting in my binder. I know that a ton of legends have been getting sos upgrades, do we think Neely will get one? I know it's all random, just looking for opinions.
i'm thinking it might be related to capacity limits at the garden changing for later rounds, a lot of teams have announced that.
thoughts? discuss
edit: ugh I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time. thanks cam
Hey Everyone - hope all is well! It's been quite some time - I haven't poked around here in a while. I hope everyone is getting through endless pandemic times and I'm sure we're all happy Hockey is back!
Greetings aside - I think it's time the Bruins ownership takes a long, deep look into the high-end management of the team. The season is only 3 days old, and I understand there was limited pre-season activities so everyone is rusty. However, in my opinion, there is no excuse for us being the only team in the NHL to not have a 5v5 goal. People are invisible that shouldn't be. Some players look slower than usual. I get it...early season...hopefully we shake it out soon because every point matters.
With all this said, I think the majority of organizational blame should be pointed at the top. Sweeny is a god at signing players for good contracts (David Backes/Matt Belesky aside). However, the drafting and player development aspect of this team, especially the offensive group, is catastrophic. We were recently rated as the worst prospect pool in the league, and any offensive player making it to the show just seems to lack creativity, unhinged potential, etc. There will be a day (please lord let's hope it already hasnt happened) where Marchy and Bergy aren't the same player. The same goes for aging guys like Coyle(has looked slow), Craig Smith, and others.
In my opinion, the last straw for Sweeny should have been drafting Mason Lohrei (Ranked 250something NORTH AMERICAN SKATER) at number 58 in this last draft. He has chronically over-reached for "his guy" in the drafts. This year, he drafted 2 players (Lohrei, Kuntar) who were passed over completely and draft eligible in 2019. Sure, both of them are having good season and the verdict isn't out, but reaching that far for Lohrei is inexcusable rationale in my opinion. The same can be said about passing up on Arthur Kaliyev after the 2015 draft debacle and much more.
This all said, its really nice to see 7/8 homegrown defensemen playing for us right now, however, I see a lot of guys ceilings as limited. Sound defensive players, but not guys you can rely on to have a good offensive or transition game.
All in all, I am frustrated.

If your answer is neither, please don't answer. That's a legitimate answer, but we've already seen the arguments for that so many times.
With all the heat Sweeney seems to be getting lately for seeming to be "in" on a lot of players, but unable to close the deal with anyone significant, I'm just wondering how much of this blame should truly be on him. Cam Neely seems to almost always get a pass around here given the career he had in Boston.
Part of me sees him as the bottleneck between what Sweeney wants to do with the team (he's "in" on the right players IMO), and what Jacobs family expects from a ROI standpoint. Especially when it comes to big ticket guys. The decision not to re-sign Krug and rescind the offer they made at the beginning of the year SCREAMS a Pres/Owner move vs what a GM would do.
Sweeney has made one good and one bad small move so far. Craig Smith is going to pan out to be an excellent signing I think. Kevan Miller isn't as bad as most people are saying, but def not what I wanted to see. Neither is a big piece though. We needed to fill two BIG pieces via trade or free agency (2nd line RW, and top pair D) and we were unable to accomplish anything. Just my opinion here, but I bet Hall got tired of waiting because Sweeney had to run it up the flag pole and was told "no move cap first" from Pres/owner.
The frustrating thing for me right now with the Bruins is that we're simply not a contender anymore. Tampa beats us 9/10 times in a 7 game series. We were a better team prior to free agency than we are now, and for a team as good as we were in 19-20 that is completely unacceptable.
I don't know what else I can add to the title. This was sometime in the 90's so it's foggy. I think it was in a highlight VHS I used to have as a kid called "Rockem' Sockem Hocky" with Don Cherry. So...yeah. It's got to be on YouTube by this point. It's a pretty famous goal.
That is all I've got for now.
Thanks for any/all help.
I've been looking for weeks and I haven't seen a single one listed on Xbox. I just wanna ask if anyone has seen one listed on Xbox or is it really just a unicorn card.
Didn't see a post about it so I thought I'd post it.
βOn Mondayβs episode of Spititnβ Chiclets the guys are joined by Hockey Hall of Famer and Boston Bruins President Cam Neely. Cam joins (34:48) to discuss his playing career, his acting career, winning the cup in 2011 and a ton more. The guys also touch on some TV shows and movies they have been watching, along with another game of All Right Hamilton (01:35:58).β
This extra free time has given me an opportunity to look back on players in the Hall who played a long time ago who I never got a chance to see. From a look at the stats, Neely doesn't seem to fit in with the others. So can someone who's more knowledgeable fill me in on why he was inducted to the HoF?
Edit: thank you everyone for the replies! This is exactly what I wanted to learn.
