Rink can be accessed by car or by bus, and it's free. They even have free skate rentals. It's open every day at 11AM.
The thing is, I'm an old dude by Reddit standards, so I don't want to come off all creepy. I can skate, though, and depending on the timing, I'll drag one of my boys with me (they are 16 and 18). So we have 2 people already.
We could do the mandatory pub thing afterwards, but I couldn't attend with the kid unless it leaned more restaurant-y.
We'd have to wear something similar or have some clever way to identify ourselves. Maybe we could all wear a bright orange article of clothing. If someone wearing orange falls down, we'll all rush over to help. :)
Is this a good idea, or am I just old and boring?

This is my first New Year in CT. I heard about the fireworks in Bushnell Park tomorrow, could I see the fireworks from the viewing spot near Elizabeth Park?
For those of you looking for something to do that's free, this is pretty awesome. It's definitely a nice idea for a date or a fun holiday family activity.
