β FWIW ... tonight was the first time that Clippers won a Game 5 in the Conference semifinals after losing their first seven. That includes three losses in the 70s as the Eastern Conference's Buffalo Braves.β

According to the Sacred Hoop and the prophecies, it is time to share this ancient wisdom. It is time for the Great Purification. We are at a point of no return. The two-legged are about to bring destruction to life on Earth. It's happened before, and it's about to happen again. The Sacred Hoop shows how all things go in a circle. The old become new; the new becomes old. Everything repeats. White people have no culture. Culture is having roots in the Earth. People without culture don't exist very long because Nature is God. Without a connection to Nature, the people drift, grow negative, destroy themselves. In the beginning we had one mind, and it was positive, a thing of beauty, seeing beauty everywhere.
The Earth People never wrote anything down and had no written language. They knew that, if they wrong anything down, it would be disastrous. If you write something down, you don't have to remember it. And mind goes off into unconsciousness. It becomes negative, or unconscious force.

Many of the dreams or visions don't necessarily mean the end; they could also indicate a change. Our people say that people who are not spiritually in tune can't adapt to this change. They won't have the necessary physical, mental and spiritual strength to change themselves. It is being said that humanity will become mad.
There will be an energy or something similar that will influence the atmosphere. As a consequence, the pressure in our brains will increase by 35 percent. But people who have become spiritually clear and accept these approaching energies of the cosmos will be able to be secure from this human cleansing process.
Seventy to 80 percent of humanity are not spiritually but materialistically oriented. That's why they won't be able to endure this transformation; they will go mad. They will kill themselves and destroy everything around them. It will be like a madhouse. Probably, somebody will then push the famous button because of this.

*About a couple of months before that I seen this great wave going. And I tell them over there about this wave. It wasn't a tidal wave; this was a spiritual wave. So, to me, I believe that the Dreamtime is going to be that. I believe the revival is going to s

For reference, in the late 70s, the Celtics were owned by a Southern California business owner Irv Levin who wanted to move the team to the west coast, closer to home. However he and the nba both knew that they wouldnβt let the Celtics move out of Boston.
To get around this, there was an agreement with new braves owner, John Y. Brown jr(basically the Ray croc of KFC). Brown started decimating the braves to break the lease so they were able to move. Trading all their best players, and spending two seasons trying to lower attendance to games as much as he can, and then, when they were able to move, heβd take ownership of the Celtics, even bringing on bob mcadoo and retaining much of the braves old roster. The product of this ownership swap was the LA clippers.
Personally, I think of my beloved clippers as a bastard child from this swap rather than a continuation of either. What do you think though?

... keep reading on reddit β‘They went 1-1-1 the past two years, and are now eliminated from the NHL.
They also lost to the Calgary Flames, however, they are the first team to lose to a team that was 2-1-1 this year to the Buffalo Braves.
The other teams to make the playoffs this year:
Calgary Flames
Toronto Maple Leafs
Detroit Red Wings
San Jose flames.
The 1970 Lakers finished first in the pacific division and eventually lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the western conference finals.
But on this day, the Buffalo Braves squeezed out a 2 point win against the almighty Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Gail Goodrich, etc.
Three time allstar (all with Buffalo) Bob Kauffman played 47 minutes and scored 34 points and added 14 rebounds. Kauffman was the first real star the Buffalo Braves had, nearly averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds for his three all star years with the team.
He was a bruiser and tough nosed hard effort player who was willing to defend whoever and did it well. We must not forget about the history of the sport, especially of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Have a nice day
I did some research on the jerseys we wore this year, and I came to the conclusion that we are undefeated in the Buffalo Braves jersey this regular season. Because of that, the Clippers should bench all the other jerseys and only use their throw back from now on, to make it a 16-1 championship!
Also, although I love the City jersey, it was the worse jersey record wise this year, but we also played the most games in them, something I totally missed. The rest of the jersey stats are in the table below :)
W | L | Total | Percentage | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Blue | 10 | 6 | 16 | 62.5% |
White | 11 | 6 | 17 | 64.7% |
Black | 11 | 3 | 14 | 78.6% |
City | 12 | 8 | 20 | 60.0% |
Braves | 5 | 0 | 5 | 100.0% |
Not only do we get one disastrous trades, we get two!
Moses Malone was coming off 2 years in the ABA, one where he was an All-Star and averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers have an excuse mind you with them having of course Bill Walton. But just imagine if those late seventies Trail Blazers teams had Moses Malone at the 1! Just imagine how many titles! How many finals appearances!
The Braves too have an excuse in that they had Bob McAdoo (who was coming off a recent MVP campaign), but McAdoo had time played as a PF, so imagine a frontcourt of Bob flipping McAdoo and Moses Malone!
Moses went onto become the most dominant offensive rebounder of the modern era of course...
Here is an article about the ownership swap from an issue of Sports Illustrated in July of 1978 (LINK); please note that the cover of that issue is titled "Money Money Money: Is it ruining sports?".
One of the weird side effects of this ownership change had to do with how certain players received deferred payments down the road, especially once Donald Sterling bought the Clippers who had some old Celtic payments on their books. I'll let u/ThreeMoneyAndNoKids tell the story.
People have always mocked the Clippers organization for its bad luck and even worse management. However, the signings of star players Kawhi Leonard and Paul George seem to dawn a new era, distinct from the previous period of mediocrity. Despite potential success in the future, I am certain many Clippers fans still have moderate expectations (and for good reason). We havenβt exactly had the best go of things. Letβs look into the history of this organization.
1970-75 The Braves and McAdoo Era
Β· The franchise starts out as the Buffalo Braves in the NBA β70 expansion, along with the familiar Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers
Β· Led by Bob Kauffman, the franchiseβs first all-star, the Braves post a paltry record of 22-60 for its first two seasons before drafting the highly underrated and versatile PF/C Bob McAdoo with the 2nd pick of the 1972 draft
Β· In the β73-74 season, Kauffman transitions to a reserve role as the stud McAdoo and the improving Randy Smith -the NBAβs ironman before A.C. Green- take over, leading to the Bravesβ first winning record
Β· From β73-76, βMcAdoo averages 32/2.8/13.8 and makes three consecutive All-Star appearances, yet the Braves never break the 50-win plane
1975-1980 Hindsight is Moses Maloneβs 20/20
Β· Bob McAdoo suffers a back injury which owner Paul Snyder doubts is real; McAdoo fails to show up to a doctorβs appointment and is subsequently suspended by the Braves for it
Β· Before the start of the β76-77 season, the Braves draft the HOFer Adrian Dantley, who would go on to win ROY in his first year (in case someone mentions Ben Simmons or Michael Porter Jr.)
Β· Midway through the season, Paul Snyder and John Brown (the Braves part-owners) do not want to meet McAdooβs money demands and send him packing to New York in a trade for cash and a guy named John
Β· The Braves also trade for Moses Malone as the NBA/ABA merger happens, but allegedly refuse to meet his demands for playing time (load mismanagement?), trading him away for picks
Β· The following season, the Braves trade for Nate βTinyβ Archibald who suffers an Achilles tendon injury and ship him up to Boston; Tiny would go on to three consecutive All-Star appearances and a championship with the Celtics
Β· The Braves also trade away ROY Dantley for Pacers All-Star Billy Knight, who would then immediately drop-off in production in the ensuing years of his career
Β· In the β78-79 season, the Braves switch ownership with the

Anyone know where to buy them? I seem to only find the Lou Williams one on the clippers store website
Is there somebody out there who knows the status of the Classic Edition Buffalo Braves jerseys? As a former Buffalo Braves fan and a long time Raptors fan I'd love to get a Kwahi Buffalo Braves jersey.
Only Youth sizes seem to be available. Anybody know the scoop?
Hoping someone can buy me one in the store and ship it out to me - can't find any online. Will pay (in advance) for the jersey + shipping + $20 for your time. Looking for a Large (corresponding size if they're numeric)
For the shipping I'll buy the label so all you have to do is print it, tape it on a package and drop it in a blue USPS drop box to make things easy.
Drop me a pm if you could help me out - thanks in advance.

also big win last night!
So I had this real weird idea: As we are LAs team that is loyal to itself and itβs history ( and not the flashlights) , wouldnβt it be amazing if we did every year a Buffalo Braves appreciation week?
Where we wear the Braves jersey , play on the homecourt of Buffalo and create some new fans in the east?
The games could be agains western conference teams that we already play 4 times a year , and they are on the road on the east . That would get them to play against us and not move around a lot and we could have for this 2-3 games Buffalo as homecourt.
Maybe we could also do that for a week as the San Diego Clippers.
This idea is a wild reach but it would be something completely different, new and would be Ort of our organization giving back to the cities that hosted us in our history. It would also be a very nice event and opportunity for kids in other towns to get to be clippers and see their stars play in their hometown !!
Went on the website and all I could find are youth sizes. Surprises me if they are sold out because buffalo braves jerseys doesnβt seem like something that people would go crazy about lol
What happened when they moved? Still fans or the teams in the new city, stop paying attention to the NBA, or something in between?
anyone upload Buffalo braves logos? if so psn?
