A list of puns related to "Bucky Barnes"
So, the background is this. The three Jedi believe they are going to a remote planet where they are going to be facing a 'very serious threat'. This is the only thing they know. They do assume they might be facing Sith Warriors, so they are extremely prepared, both mentally and physically. They come out of their spaceship with lightsabets ignited, senses extended and ready to use the Force.
The Marvel Six believes that the three Jedi arriving are a severe and perhaps even existential threat to Earth, and that they must be eliminated as soon as possible. They can not retreat here, they must kill all three new arrivals.
Who wins and who faces whom, assuming all nine combatants will aim to kill.

the Gist: Bucky's story is unique and compelling. It deserves to be told in a way that does it justice. He doesn't need redemption because he never had a CHOICE in the things he did. His story should focus on RECOVERY. This article touches on a lot of the things that bugged me about FATWS and the way Bucky's arch was dropped in the movies.
Somehow Willem Dafoe Green Goblin has gotten into the MCU! Spider-Man is busy with other stuff or whatever, so he's called upon some buddies to help him take out one of the guys he doesn't feel like dealing with.
Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes from the MCU fight Norman Osborn from the 2002 Spider-Man movie. Which side wins?
Sam has Captain America gear. Bucky has some guns and his Wakandan arm. Norm has all of his gear from the movie. They meet at the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC. Fight ends when one side is dead or incapacitated. No one will try to run.
How does he control it? Is it connected to his brain? And also is Hydra mind controlling Bucky through the arm? Because I saw some theories that the scars around the arm were from Bucky trying to claw the arm off and Iβm trying to understand why. Iβm clueless because my brother watched CATFA without me. Just give me any details you think Iβd need.
So I rewatched The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, and I thought it was decent. Things I loved about it were the dynamic between Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, The amazing performance that came from Wyatt Russel as John Walker, and I think he doesn't deserve the hate he got, Baron Zemo reappearing, and his dope dancing in Episode 3 of the show. While I didn't like some of its aspects, I found the show to be good despite its flaws.
However, while I am excited to see Sam Wilson as the new Captain America, it left me wondering what kind of new alias Bucky Barnes could take since he's no longer the Winter Soldier. I know some people want him to be the White Wolf and he was referred to like it in one scene, but I don't think it fits him.
Now considering Bucky is free from his dark past as a brainwashed International assassin, It had me think that he can forge a new reputation for himself by transitioning into an international hero.
The new alias that Bucky Barnes can use left me thinking of one word that could fit him: Nomad.
In the original Marvel Comics, Steve Rogers created the Nomad alias for himself when he temporarily gave up the mantle of being Captain Amerca. Bucky Barnes could create the Nomad alias on his own as the name does mean "man without a country". It can be a new identity that fits Bucky Barnes as he can operate as an international crusader that travels the country looking to help people and take down dangerous criminals and terrorists who operate in other countries.
That can make Sam and Bucky's team name be "Captain America And Nomad", where Sam Wilson starts to operate as the next person to take the mantle of Captain America while Bucky Barnes would become an international crusader that's a man without a true country, hence the name.
Once Zemo releases Bucky, he can be pretty sure that Cap and his Avengers will try to follow him to Siberia. But it does make you wonder how that final act of Civil War would've played out if Cap and Bucky had additional help.
Scenario: Instead of everyone on Team Cap getting captured for Steve and Bucky, they all manage escape the battle at the airport. When Vision destroys the control tower, Wanda throws the tower remains at Rhodey before he can use his sonic cannon on her, Scott manages to swat away Tony and shrink away, Sam grabs Clint and flies off, and all of them book it out of there with Steve and Bucky on the Quinjet.
What changes when they get to Siberia? How do Zemo's plans change when Steve arrives in Siberia with a full team of Avengers? How does this change things when Tony eventually makes it to Siberia?
I like well-written fanfics, nothing over the top (AU for example I don't like AUs) that mostly follow canon and that follow Bucky through the MCU storylines (the time between winter soldier and civil war for example, his time in wakanda etc).
I've read only two or three bucky fanfic stories and while I love the authors' writing, it can get a bit boring if the characters are just "boring" self-insert OCs and the story doesn't really evolve into anything...
I read a fanfic that introduced a stripper OC and Bucky and her fall in love with each other, at first I was really into it and the writing was beautiful but I kind of lost interest because it became kind of boring, there was no angst and no conflict. It was just a lot of smut and people talking about feelings lol I do like that to an extent, but I really wish there had been more conflict. Mostly that OC had been more a part of the dangerous world Bucky or the winter soldier was involved in.
I want an interesting story, with interesting characters. And Bucky being Bucky.
Edit: should clarify i'm looking for a romantic relationship between Bucky and a female character! Preferably an OC with an interesting story but I'd be okay if they used a lesser known character from the marvel comics as long as it's not the most popular ones like Black Widow or Scarlett Witch...
Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are taking some contracts after Falcon and The Winter Soldier. These contracts are entirely tracking down and taking on horror movie villains since it's close to Halloween!
Can Sam and Bucky succeed? If not, where do they tap out?
Round 1: Sam and Bucky have to take down Papa Jupiter and family from The Hills have Eyes.
Round 2: Sam and Bucky have to fight the new Chucky in a Walmart where Chucky controls everything. *2019 Chucky with control over anything with wifi.
Round 3: Sam and Bucky have to clear out Camp Crystal Lake. Jason is a zombie.
Round 4: Sam and Bucky accidentally pushed Jason into a healing chamber! They now have to fight Jason X!
Round 5: Sam and Bucky versus 1,000 birds from The Birds. The birds range from sparrow to hawk in size.
Round 6: Sam and Bucky have to get a piece of The Leprechaun's gold for research.
Round 7: Sam and Bucky versus classic Universal Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Invisible Man, Wolfman, and The Mummy. Fight in a football stadium.
*Edited to include respect threads I could find!
Guesses? In First Avenger, it's 1943 before he ships out, but he tells Steve he's "Sergeant James Barnes" with the 107th. So, if he was a sergeant in 1943, we must assume he had either enlisted or been drafted some time before....thoughts? And that makes me wonder why he wasn't promoted during all that time between 1943 and his fall from the train in either 1944 or 1945, depending on what source you're looking at....especially given all his heroics with the Howling Commandos.
I read a fic a while ago either on AO3 or FFN and I donβt think I ever finished it but I canβt find it for the life of me so hopefully someone here has it. Basically itβs Bucky, Steve, and I think Sam too. Bucky is in recovery from his time with Hydra but he still has specific triggers that are caused by certain tastes. I think one of the triggers is apple, he eats something with apple in it and he gets triggered into the WS mindset for like 6 hours or something. Later in the fic I believe Sam is visiting and Bucky eats another thing that triggers him and he excuses himself. Steve follows him and finds out that Bucky has gone temporarily mute. The two of them decide to go back into the kitchen and tell Sam whatβs happening and they all deal with it together. I canβt remember any specific sentences from the fic so I canβt do what I normally do where I search with quotation marks, if anyone knows the fic I would really appreciate it!
Iβm not that familiar with the Marvel world. But the Infinity Stones also damaged the arms of Thanos, Professor Hulk, and Tony. But what would have happened if Bucky had snapped his metal arm? Would he survive?
I was rewatching the defendersβ¦and I couldnβt help but catch thatβ¦she doesnβt have her memoriesβ¦.neither does Buckyβ¦.and they both get snapped out of it by their name. Could there be a connection in the fact that there are βweaponsβ (meaning individuals that can take out others on command) in the black market like if there was some sort of recipe. Could this be a connection in Madripoor from The Falcon & The Winter Soldier? Could Elektra bridge that gap between the Netflix and the MCU? Could Bucky Barnes and Elektra be v1.0 and v0.1.0 of the same mind control scheme?
I know this is an oddly specific request but I recently watched some Marvel movies with some friends (had only watched Iron Man previously) and while I didn't care too much for most of the characters, I developed a strange attachment to Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier). I kept thinking about how cool a story with him as the MMC would be, considering his past and his entire redemption arc. I'm basically looking for:
- an anti-hero with a dark past (would prefer fantasy/contemporary/sci-fi because I'm not a fan of historicals)
- some worldbuilding, if possible, but not necessary
- slow-burn (no insta-lust/love)
- I haven't read any sci-fi romances and idk if there are any but that would be an added bonus too
(P.S: My friends have teased me relentlessly about this because even while watching these "cult classics", I was thinking of romance XD)
Would Bruce pull a Tony and be like "I don't care he killed my mom" would Bucky feel worse about Bruce than he does anyone else? Would Bucky want to be Bruce's friend?
Edit: This is MCU Bucky Barnes
MCU Winter Soldier Respect Thread
R1. Both are unarmed and in character.
R2. Both have standard gear. Bucky has his vibranium arm and is in Winter Solider mode.
