A list of puns related to "Bucks County Playhouse"
Has anyone been to past production? I'll be in Bucks County while it is being performed and am tempted to see it. I'm curious to read some reviews here if anyone has watched it.
Thanks!
Over the last decade or so, Bucks has really started to see some major commercial development. For example, if anyone has been to the Newtown Village Shopping Center, it is like something out of Los Angeles. New swaths of Toll Brothers homes are built monthly, it seems, and townhouses have replaced many single family homes.
Is this overall development good or bad for the character of Bucks County?
I am currently giving away 3 adult pea puffers. I've had them in my 20gallon long for about 16 months now. 2 males and one female. One female and one male are super chill and friendly. The biggest male is a bit of a prick at feeding time. They take frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, live bladder snails, and live daphnia when I have it. I love my little puff babies but i just got a job thats going to require me to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time fairly regularly and I'm breaking down my higher maintenance tanks that cant be fed via auto feeder. I would prefer all 3 to go to the same home and ideally no less than 20 gallons, but if an experienced hobbyist has a good home I can split them up if need be. Unfortunately I am uncomfortable shipping especially with the weather. I can meet somewhere if the drive is too long. Sorry for the novel and please give Pissbaby 1, Pissbaby 2, and Jerri a loving home. If you come to me I'll also throw in some rotala cuttings, assorted floaters, and a marimo moss ball or 2.
With it (seemingly) finally getting cold out and daylight still being quite sparse, outdoor exercise has been harder to come by as of late. Having said that, I am still quite concerned about COVID especially with Omicron. Are there any gyms in Bucks County (or surrounding, but preferably in the county) that require a vaccine?
Hi, Bucks County Writers Group is a collective of independent writers who gather regularly to discuss the craft of writing as well as one anotherβs work.
Oh, and we write too! The core competencies of the group are to write, give and receive constructive feedback, to learn, and most of all to support one another as we develop our personal skills as writers. Please, come and join us! It is completely free!
We meet every Wednesday at the Doylestown Mennonite Church from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Anyone know where to find these? I had a subscription to newspapersdotcom, but they only had sporadic issues up to about 1978. And from what I can tell, the online archive on their website only go back to about 2002 (plus you need to sign in/be a member/subscribe, etc).
We live in NYC and masks are still common here. My wife, toddler and me have also maintained near total lockdown since March 2020, just to give some context on how seriously we still take Covid.
So recently our kid turned 2. She came along shortly before Covid hit, and so she's had very sparse, limited contact with the outside world in her short life. We decided for this birthday to book an Airbnb in a more secluded area, with a large yard that she could enjoy. We found a perfect farmhouse in Bucks Co. We love New Hope/Lambertsville and this place was a close drive from there.
The trip was amazing. Our kid enjoyed being in nature, running around the big old yard and we even took her on a private tour of a small petting farm (the co-owner wore a mask despite it being outside). It was good to be back into the world a little more after so much self imposed isolation.
But the one thing that frankly shocked us was just how few people we saw with masks. It was our first family trip to a grocery store ever (weβve had all groceries delivered since the pandemic hit) and almost none of the shoppers were masked. Thankfully the cashiers were.
Driving through towns? We saw almost no masks.
I went to pick up food at a bustling Italian restaurant. None of the patrons, waitstaff, hosts or diners that I saw were masked.
A couple of elderly people struck up convo with me during the trip, all unmasked.
We love that area but were honestly pretty surprised by all this. It was as if a pandemic didnβt even exist there.
Is this typical for that area?
