50 years since the passing of Bruce Mclaren
Here in New Zealand it is June 2nd and the 50th anniversary of Bruce Mclaren.
Below is the Cooper Climax that Bruce started his F1 career in, at MOTAT in Auckland, New Zealand. Apparently it was highly modified by Bruce to make it competitive, which I guess means it could be called the first Mclaren car. As a Mclaren fan it is a day for a minute of quiet reflection, best wishes to the rest of the world from down here, fingers crossed today the last Covid case here recovers and we are virus free. NZ is well on the path to reopening, time for an F1 race here in a safe environment? :-P It will never happen but Bruce would have loved it!
