In 9/10 of them, you'll find all the top rated comments to be either anti-frackers throwing shade at him or progressives in general throwing shade at him. Coming up with some neat locations primarily for a play-buy-post/open world rp fantasy city - somewhere the characters could actually interact with cool stuff and roleplay among themselves apart from drinking ale in the tavern.
Here's what I have:
- City of Thieves - an underground (literally) city under the city one gets into through the caves. Used by the shadier part of the population to lay low
- Hot Springs
- Beach/Coast
- Underwater garden - primarily maintained by the aquatic races but is open for visits by anyone who can hang out underwater
- Secret club of forbidden pie eaters everyone knows about
- The Ghost Hall- An underground room full of hundreds maybe thousands of ghosts roaming around and conversing Harry Potter style. The hall is less of a hall and more of an underground throne room. Ghosts funnel into the room from seemingly nowhere and join and join an endless queue lining up to the throne. If the player chooses to sit down on the throne they will have to make a strength check (dms discretion at this point forward.) or be trapped on the throne until they succeed a dc 30 strength check. Magical forces bound them to the chair as they are barraged with questions from the ghosts. Themed almost around a kingdom (I.e a ghost asking the player if they may have a loan to start a business[/u/Beanis_]
- Generiport's docks and shipwrights co-op: with a variety of boats, yachts and barges being built and getting repairs at the docks the work is abundant, the people are friendly and if you play your cards right they may even offer you a place on the crew (possible jump-start for a maritime arc on the campaign?) .[/u/_solounwnmas]
- The Knight Club: a shady nightclub catering to the kingdom's nobility, ideal for secretive meetings with contacts or a fun night out after some hard travel [/u/_solounwnmas]
- Abbey of the Pieous: located just off the road a mile outside the city wall, a lovely Abbey dedicated to hospitality sits welcoming wary travellers, the author recommends trying the pies if you're nearby [/u/_solounwnmas]
- Temple of Urban the Gregarious: in the exact middle of the city, equidistant from all wall gates, sits a large marble clad temple and public forum where news and gossip from across the world is exchanged with wild abandon to whomever may ask. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
