A list of puns related to "British Seaside"
Lately I have been just obsessed with this album called From the Sea to the Land Beyond by British Sea Power, which was originally composed as soundtrack music for a documentary about the British coastline, and is probably more popularly known now for being licensed in the video game Disco Elysium.
There is just a peerlessly charming quality to this music that I cannot find anywhere else, despite some real efforts. I had a look at some post-rock music which feels kinda close in sound, but that is all a little more dramatic/rock sounding, as you might expect. I'm 100% ready to believe there is nothing quite like this, and I won't get the same feelings of fond nostalgia and gentle melancholy anywhere else - I realise that this music was created with an extremely specific purpose/tone in mind, and it might be the key ingredient to my strong emotional reaction - but I thought I'd take a chance that someone might be able to guide me towards similar feeling music, or some hyper-specific genre name like 'melancholy brass ambient-wave' where lays a treasure trove of half-cheerful/half-aching nostalgic seaside tunes. Thanks!
Hello, hope everyone is having a lovely day and that this is helpful either for planning purposes or daydreaming about beach days :)
Section One: Bio
Section Two/Three: Assets, Debt & Income
If you're interested in additional details, I wrote a money diary last October -- I'm happy to answer any questions / give updates in the comments (or DM me!). For convenience, I've included both pounds and USD in the overview (converted using google exchange rates and some rounding).
A fancier room than the one I was in.
Section Four: Travel Expenses
EDIT: Literally today there has been another article and their estimated cost is Β£22 Million

Recently there has been a story about a Company that bought Skegness peir back in February wanting to extend it back to its former 500m length from the current 100m length. I've tried Google but haven't had much luck and was hoping someone on here that knows more about large project costs could give a ballpark.

For context, im british from the north east and have been living internationally for 7 years. I may be returning to the uk soon and I'm looking for a a quiet seaside town to live in for a while where I can work on starting my own software business. Local amenities arent a priority for me, I'm mainly looking for somewhere quiet, having lived in dense metropolitan cities for so long.
I gather this will lead me to towards the north, including scotland. So far I have my eyes on the areas below. Any other potential recommendations North Shields, South Shields, Dundee
This is based on a famous book as well, which I read a few years ago before seeing the movie a short time later. I tried using the keywords on Google but had some trouble. To my best recollection, the fictional story is about older middle-aged British WWII vets who scatter their war buddy's ashes at a seaside town. These guys are close and usually drink in a pub each week. They reminisce along this journey about each other and their family's history.
