The subscription fee to be able to see your own basic data is akin to a router requiring a subscription fee in order to configure it.
This is a terrible model. It's consumer hostile and treats us all like cattle. We are sick of it.
Subscription models make sense when the subscription itself is offering something of value. Here, the subscription is being required to be able to view the data that the ring collects.

With the above court case mentioned above the accused was charged and convicted with Possession of a prohibited weapon in violation of Former Prohibited Weapons Order No 3 even though the cattle prod he had measured at a length of 483mm yet the law states in one of its elements that it has to measure less than 480mm. I believe crown argued successfully that the weapon met the any similar device element along with all other elements besides the measurement element. If this case doesn’t get appealed, then would this make cattle prods that farmers commonly use for their livelihood a prohibited weapon? Like at what length would the device be accepted to be legal and not a prohibited weapon? This case doesn’t establish a legal test for this. What are your thoughts on this matter?
I’m doing some reading about Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and there’s mention of his fervent attempts to get in touch with Western allies in the hope of securing peace terms following a collapse of Hitler’s regime.
It sounds like he was fairly well connected through his Confessing Church - he managed to get word to George Bell, an Anglican bishop and member of the House of Lords, who passed his message along to the British foreign secretary. However, that seems to have gone nowhere. Why wasn’t the British government more interested in supporting German resistance movements (financially or otherwise), or at the very least developing an intelligence relationship with Bonhoeffer, who must have had valuable insight as an Abwehr member?
