A list of puns related to "Brick By Boring Brick"
Brick By Boring Brick: βKeep your feet on the ground, when your head's in the cloudsβ
26: βAfter all, wasn't I the one who said to keep your feet on the ground?β
Theyβve been my favorite band for a long long time and I somehow just realized this.
I came upon this thread in my Twitter feed and first thought it was batshit, but after reading it it it seems like there might actually be something to it. Iβm still skeptical but what do you guys think? Also who knew that TSβs Speak Now was about Hayley?
Does anyone remember an unofficial video for Brick by Boring Brick that featured scenes from the film Labyrinth (I think!)
It was around on YouTube before the song was officially released as a single. I canβt find it anymore but desperate to see it if anyone has any ideas where on the internet itβs hiding..?
I was listening to Paramore's Brand New Eyes album and when brick by boring brick came on some of the lyrics felt like it was describing maladaptive daydreaming to me.
"She lives in a fairytale somewhere too far for us to find" "Forgotten the taste and smell of the world she's left behind".
"... Keep your feet on the ground, when your head's in the clouds..."
"... Well you built up a world of magic, because your real world was tragic". And the lyric that hit me the most about this song:
"If it's not real, you can't touch it with your hands, you can't feel it with your heat".
What are your thoughts about this?
Revenge of the Island is a season that is home to a lot of fan favorites, and today in this post, we'll be talking about one of those characters. Say hello to the loyal cadet, Brick!

Brick is a contestant from Revenge of the Island (duh) who was initially on the Mutant Maggots, but later was changed to the Toxic Rats. He served as a cadet during his military training and due to his time there, he has a code of never leaving a teammate behind, and in some cases even people NOT on his team. He has been shown to have characteristics that are not stereotypical of an army cadet, like having a thing for fashion and a fear of the dark.
Honestly, Brick is an enjoyable character during his time in Total Drama. His personality, his interactions, and his cadet code are some of the things that make him a really unique character. Yes, there have been characters that are really nice, but Brick's kindness is presented in a completely different way. Instead of just being nice and caring, he has an edge and will do anything to help anyone who needs it.

One of the things with Brick is that he's.....kind of the pain magnet of the season. Like, there are several times during the times he's around where he just gets no luck. Like for example, dislocating his arm and getting punched off a cliff by Anne Maria in Ice Ice Baby, getting messed around with by Fang in Backstabbers Ahoy, getting hit with a cannonball in Truth or Laser Shark, and probably many more. Now, unlike Sam in All-Stars, I would say Brick has a good number of moments to keep the slapstick from getting too repetitive, and it makes him more of a fleshed-out character, while Sam in AS was just........no.

As for his interactions, one of his most important was with Jo. Both Jo and Brick had several moments in the season where they competed over who was the captain of their team, both with completely different mindsets; Brick of course is the one who believes that no one should be left behind, and Jo believing that the team should focus on winning rather than on helping other people out. These clashing differences in mindsets re
... keep reading on reddit β‘Does anyone remember the lyrics to this song going βWell make sure to build your house brick by boring brick, or the wolf is gonna blow it downβ? Because i specifically remember βhouseβ. But the actual lyrics are βWell make sure to build your HOME brick by boring brick, or the wolf is gonna blow it downβ. Several YouTube lyric videos say βhouseβ and even the lyrics under the official music video say βhouseβ. But every version of the song Iβve found, Hayley sings Home. Not House. Anyone else notice this??? Please tell me Iβm not crazy π
Are they still making them? Still selling them? Did they ever sell them? Any plans for the future with them?
A couple of years back there was a big push to sell them for a dime apiece, and even give them away for free to non-profits for construction. Just realized I haven't heard anything about them in a long time. Is that idea dead? Anyone know?
I would imagine that one of the reasons that the didn't take off, perhaps, is because they were unproven, and people didn't want to risk structural collapse to save a bit of money. Also, since they would be taken from the dirt excavated from tunnels, and since that dirt would vary in composition in different places, there wouldn't be consistency between the various bricks, I'm assuming.
Anyway, just curious if anyone knows the situation with them. Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks, everyone, for your replies. After reading through the replies, as well as reading a few articles, I've come to some conclusions about the situation.
The bricks were a cool idea, but the wouldn't work for high-stress situations, such a multi-story structures, due to tight requirements for chemical composition to avoid failure.
The bricks, or something like the bricks, would probably be great for non-stress situations, such as paving stones, barbecue walls, etc. This is probably why at one point Musk said they were thinking of putting out a Lego-like kit with the bricks, where people could build fun stuff with them.
The main reason for making the bricks was to find an easy way to get rid of all the excavated dirt. Since they're currently only working in Las Vegas, that's not really an issue, since Las Vegas has lots of open space for dumping and lots of open roads for transporting. In other cities, the bricks, or something like them, will probably make a comeback.
The Boring Company website still states that they make bricks and side panels for tunnels from "some of the material." So, unless they just forgot to update the website, this is a project that they're still looking to do. But right now there isn't really a need, due to their current location.
So, thanks to everyone for your input. This was very interesting and informative!
Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster here lol.
I saw Paramore live as a kid (Turing 17 in 3 days π¬) back in 2010 in MNL and had that BNE CD on repeat since then. It was the first song I tried to master on the guitar which I picked up at the start of quarantine. Somehow through all of that I just realised mid-late night practice sesh, that I've been mishearing the very common
"Go get your chauffeur, we'll take your teeth out"
I was just curious if anyone also mishears the "We'll take your teeth out" part because, I always thought BbBB was a song about growing up so i just always assumed it was some fucked up metaphor for how your teeth fall out as you age
Remember watching a vid of them in the studio making BNE and Hayley was singing a demo of BbBB, where βkeep ur feet on the ground, when ur heads in the cloudsβ was the chorus. Lookin for that vid. Thanks all
