Well everyone, it's been 8 months since I told you all about what I think about Chicago's fried chicken sandwiches. I want to go on record and say that I did try every single sandwich that you guys recommended last time and yesterday I had my 75th different sandwich in the city limits of Chicago. You can see my original list here and my most recent list here. My rankings have really shaken up since last time so I wanted to keep everyone in the loop. I'll probably not do it again until I've had sandwich #100 if I haven't died by then.
I want to lay out a few qualifiers again:
-I only care about the sandwich. Every other aspect of the restaurant or the menu is irrelevant to me.
-I only have included sandwiches within the city limits of Chicago
-I live on the North side in Lincoln Park and the selection of sandwiches I've tried are definitely biased toward that. I don't have a car so it's not easy for me to get around to places in the South or West side.
Without further adieu, I'm going to go in reverse order this time to make it slightly more exciting and I'm also going to rank my top 15 instead of top 10:
#15. The Vig (Old Town, $14)
This one was recommended to me by a redditor after my last post and it really lived up to the expectations he set. This is a classic, Southern style fried chicken sandwich with a touch of honey sweetness and overall is just a very satisfying sandwich to get into. Their toasted buns are also fantastic and I think my only big criticism would be the thinness of the chicken could honestly stand to be 1.5x-2x thicker which I think is definitely warranted for the price tag. I think if it were a little cheaper or a little bigger, it would have had a higher spot on this list.
#14. Marvin's Food & Fuel (West Loop, $17)
I have never seen anyone recommend this place but their fried chicken sandwich was delicious. It has a spicy maple glaze that was a really appreciated flavor for a fried chicken sandwich but the obvious downfall to it is obviously going to be the $17 price tag. Honestly, the service and atmosphere at this place is pretty bad and stuffy, even for West Loop, but I can't deny the sandwich hit all the right notes for me. It’s pretty well known that Logan, whilst he loves his children, at least according to the admission of Jesse Armstrong and Brian Cox themselves, Logan is completely infatuated with the virtue of power. And he knows that this trait is inherent in his children, of whom have all individually made great strides to either succeed or dethrone Logan during the show.

But because of the smear campaigns he has either overtly or inadvertently orchestrated against his own children, Shiv, Ken and Roman are all seen as too unstable to take the job.
I think this is important to remember when debating ‘who will end up as boss’. As it seems, in my view, Logan will never willingly allow one of his children to succeed, perhaps as demonstrated most recently in S3 E9, where he completely derails such a prospect by removing his children from their stake positions. He will never simply choose who comes next after him. No child can impress him enough to allow him to remove himself from his own power.

I think what I’ve learned might explain RRPs and the role of Total Return Swaps (TRS) in the Gamestop saga and the global economic volcano.

HomeDepotHank69 (RIP) and others suggested that Total Return Swaps might have something to do with the cycles we are seeing. I decided if it was important enough for Hank to mention it, it was important enough for me to look into.
Being smoothbrained, I had to go learn what a Total Return Swap was (TRS). I learned everything I know about TRS from Investopedia, so I’ll drop links when I reference something. Otherwise, I’m going to try to ELIA as I go. I’m sure people will correct me if I’m wrong.
