A list of puns related to "Brian Hooker"
4.5/5
THE IMMORALITY CLAUSE by Brian Parker is a cyberpunk novel about a burnt-out cop working the worst district of New Orleans in the latter half of the 21st century. It's not so far in the future things have changed dramatically but it's changed enough there's sex bots, advanced new weapons, and a society that's struggling to keep peace with the changes brought about by technology.
The premise of the novel, in a nutshell, is basically a somewhat less naval gazing version of Blade Runner. Homicide Detective Zach Forrest works his beat in New Orleans new Red Light District ("Easytown") where prostitution is legalized thanks to the existence of soulless but otherwise indistinguishable from reality sex bots. If you guess a series of murders rocks the district and calls Zach to question, then you'd be right. A city councilman is murdered by his companion and that threatens New Orleans' lucrative sex-tourist trade.
Zach is thus drawn into solving a case he doesn't want to that also includes a romance with the "madam" of the cyber-brothel he's investigating. One rule he can't break, though, is having sex with one of the lifelike machines himself. A police officer who breaks the Immorality Clause of their contract is off the force. [Note: Having lived in New Orleans for a time, the idea of the NOPD not being involved with prostitutes may be the most unbelievable thing in this book of robots and flying cars.]
It's a conservative vision of the future as regular prostitution and drugs are still illegal and there's a huge stigma to using the artificial kind. Sex work is depicted as shameful in the eyes of society even as the women involved (and only women) are decent people. Zach Forrest, himself, loathes Easytown as despite full of legal businesses, it's a dangerous and sleazy sort of place. I actually don't mind this as the best science fiction is about now rather than the future.
Brian Parker does an excellent job realizing the dichotomy of machines potentially having more humanity than the people around them. Zach Forrest is barely functional after years on the force and his best friend is a Siri-analogue that isn't quite artificial intelligence but close enough to be indistinguishable to a schlub like Zach. He has few friends but enough that he can get them involved in his work by accident. He also has the film noir detective quality of being incredibly attractive to women despite being a working class drunk.
The world is well realized and you really ca

"For starters a handy is $375."
"Wow, that seems like a lot of cash for a handjob lady."
"Mister, do you see that Porsche parked at the end of the street?" She points to a brand new Porsche. "I own that because I give the best damned handjobs ever."
Brian considers this and decides it's worth it. He is completely blown away when she's done.
"Wow. So how much do you charge for a blowjob?"
"For you sweetie, $925."
"925? That seems pretty steep."
"Listen here sugar. Do you see the 6 story motel my Porsche is parked in front of? I own that motel because I give the best damned blowjobs ever."
Recalling the outstanding handjob she had just performed, Brian decides to give it a shot. Once again he is not dissapointed.
"Wow, that was great. So I have to know...how much do you charge for sex?"
"Do you see that 30 story office building?"
Brian gulps. "Um, yeah."
"If I had a pussy I would own that too."
Here's the article, but it doesn't have the rankings on the website, just the magazine.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I was listening to the "Weighing In" podcast the other day and at some point Josh and Big John were discussing how UFC would be impacted with a 165 lb division. Josh argued divisions would get shallowed whereas Big John said it would be good for the UFC.
It made me think how a good reshuffle would actually look like and I was a bit surprised with how interesting things would get.
For this exercise, I used the divisions that would be impacted the most (featherweight up to middleweight) and selected the top guys for each one (in bold you can see new guys at a division with the obvious exception of 165 where everybody is new).
Featherweight
Alex Volkanovski (C)
Brian Ortega
Yair Rodriguez
Korean Zombie
Giga Chikadze
Edson Barboza
Dan Hooker
Henry Cejudo
The 145 division would not be impacted too much by these. Yair is back and looked great against back, Giga is promising and 1 extra division could allow the return of Henry Cejudo at Featherweight. The question marks would be Dan Hooker and Edson Barbosa who could realistically move between 145 and 155 and choose the one with potential higher returns. Still, even without Max, this division looks solid
Lightweight
Charles Oliveira (C)
Islam Makhachev
Justin Gaethje
Beneil Dariush
Tony Ferguson
Rafael dos Anjos
Arman Tsarukyan
Max Holloway
The big addition to the division would be Max. I think that regardless of the outcome of a likely Max v Volk 3, he should move up. He showed against Dustin he can be competitive against top 155s and he probably just needs time to "fill his frame" and get ready to contend. Justin, Charles, Islam and Beneil can keep the top interesting and who knows....maybe UFC can look at Pitbull and AJ McKee as additions to this division.
The new 165 lb division
Colby Covington
Dustin Poirier
Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler
Gilbert Burns
Nate Diaz
Jorge Masvidal
Michael Chiesa
Sean Brady
Kevin Lee
All I can see is wow, this division would be the prime division in the UFC. Not only it would feature some of the best, but it would also have the flashiest and brashest fighters in UFC. Allow me to explain the criteria:
2021 - QB Mac Jones, LB Zaven Collins
2020 β WR Jerry Jeudy, CB A.J. Terrell
2019 β QB Dwayne Haskins, DE Brian Burns
2018 β OT Kolton Miller, LB Tremaine Edmunds
2017 β S Malik Hooker, CB Marlon Humphrey
2016 β WR Corey Coleman, OT Taylor Decker
2015 β RB Melvin Gordon, CB Kevin Johnson
2014 β LB Ryan Shazier, OG Zack Martin
2013 β S Kenny Vaccaro , QB EJ Manuel
2012 β DE Bruce Irvin, DE Quinton Coples
Pro Bowl rosters are always a popularity contest, but it has a big effect on players. Selections could mean more money in free agency, more pay based on incentives, etc. Below are both the AFC & NFC Pro Bowl rosters based on PFF grade.
Instead of using "defensive end", "outside linebacker", & "inside linebacker", I am using EDGE (lines up on D-Line) and Linebacker (off-ball). Otherwise, you have an entire team of pass rushers who get in. I'm glad that the All-Pro team has changed this, but the Pro Bowl seems to be a step behind.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
