A list of puns related to "Bradley Beal"
> Beal also said his decision to get vaccinated had nothing to do with District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowserβs Dec. 22 order mandating that, effective Jan. 15, people must have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter indoor venues such as restaurants and sports arenas.
> Beal indicated that he instead chose to get vaccinated to help protect his father, who has suffered from kidney disease and underwent a kidney transplant over the summer.
> βLike I said at the beginning of the year, this is always something Iβve been thinking about,β Beal said. βIt obviously came to a point to where I was like, βOK, letβs just get it out of the way and not have to deal with it.β But there are a lot of questions I still have. Us around the league, weβre still trying to figure out how we can be better, how we can still be safe.
> βNinety percent of our league is vaccinated, and weβre still going down like flies. So weβre just trying to make sure that weβre all protected. For me, selfishly, Iβm more concerned about my father and my family. The last thing I want to do is see him in the hospital and on the table. So if that helps, then OK, Iβll do it. But I still have a lot of questions and concerns about it, for sure.β

His counting stats went from 31/5/4 last year to 22/5/6 this year. Shooting splits have gone from 49/35/89 last year to 43/26/88 [1].
Time of possession this year is up to 4.8 minutes per game compared to 3.8 minutes per game last year [2]. Also averaging a career high in turnovers [1].
As far as advanced stats go, his WS/48 are at a career low, even including his rookie season. He also has a negative net rating for the first time since his sophomore season [1].
The Wizards are 3-0 without Beal this season. Dinwiddie is averaging 28/7/8 without Beal and 11/5/5 with him [3]. Dinwiddie is also to blame as heβs been very passive, but heβs stated in interviews that he thinks his job is to defer to Beal, which of course makes sense since Beal is the teamβs all star, but Dinwiddie is a totally different player without Beal.
Not to mention that Beal can also be terrible on defense but this is nothing new with him. Personally I just donβt think he elevates his teammates in a way that a super max player should, and needs the team to play in a certain way to allow him to get his buckets.
Iβm also not sold on him being a super max player, and think any team that pays him $50 mil a year can kiss any championship aspirations good bye.

> βI got time, so I kinda hold the cards right now. And one, Iβve never been in this position. Iβm kinda embracing that, being able to kinda dictate how I want my future to be and where I want it to be,β Beal said on βPosted Up.β βAnd at the same time, Iβm not gonna make that grand commitment and it doesnβt work. Ultimately, you have to be selfish at some point and for probably the first time in my career, Year 10, I am. And so Iβm kinda taking advantage of it in a way.
> βObviously, my full commitment is to the team. I want it to work. Iβve contributed to being here. Iβve committed to being here twice. Now, I want to see that commitment to me, as well, that we can create a winning team here, a winning environment here. And granted, Iβm a part of that, so I gotta make sure that Iβm stepping up and doing my thing, too, just as well.β
Kuzma: 36/14/6
Beal: 35/7/8
I am consistently amazed by the level of play by Kuzma in the 4th quarter. He hit 3 massive 3s down the stretch to keep us in it/take over the lead. Heβs been our clutches player by far this season
And I have loved what Iβm seeing from Beal recently. Heβs finally playing like an All NBA talent again.
They also finished 14/15 from the line.
>[Mayo] I would ask the question to those who are getting vaccinated 'why are you still getting COVID?'
So it looks like Beal is a dumbass too, can't say I'm surprised knowing his wife is an anti-vax too.
Beal is having a terrible season so far compared to his standards. His percentages are down across the board and there doesn't seem to be any logical reason for it. His averages for the last couple of seasons were 30/5/4.5 on 58%TS
This season so far, he's at 23/4.5/6 on 52%TS. Even more concerning is his three ball where he's shooting a career low at 28%. That's worse than Westbrook smh. With the slow start to the season in mind, what is the course of action for the Wizards going forward? Are they willing to wait it out until he hits FA and offer him the supermax that he will obviously demand. I would like to know from Wizards fans if they think he's worth the supermax and if it's a good idea to bet on him signing it when he hits FA as there's a very good chance he could simply walk.
I haven't watched enough Wizards games so I can't really judge his play without simply using stats. Hopefully people who've watched them this season can chime in.

Vaxxed Beal is DIFFERENT. His 5G connection got him going bananas.
Shoutout to DeMar but Brad had an incredible game. Unfortunate loss tonight, but atleast the team played well. GG Bulls.

EDIT: 4 steals, not 2. my b
Not sure why nobody is discussing the possibility of Beal getting traded. There were rumors that Washington doesn't want to pay him the supermax. He's a FA next year. I'm thinking Washington is going to trade him before the trade deadline. They really aren't contending anytime soon even if they bring Beal back.
My guess is the Celtics end up trading for him just because of his relationship with Tatum and the fact that they need to make a trade.
Beal for Jaylen Brown straight up will be the deal.
Where does Beal land before the trade deadline?

PLAYER STATS |
What a game this was. The Wizards led for the majority of the game, and had a 12 point lead at halftime-- but DeRozan had an incredible shot.
But the Wizards played an excellent game throughout. Three players stood out in particular:
Bradley Beal: starting at POINT GUARD, finished with 27 points and 17 assists, a career high.
Kyle Kuzma: 29 points on 12/18 shooting, and 12 rebounds.
Daniel Gafford: 19 points on 9/10 shooting, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks with overall great defense.
The Wizards are 18-18 with a good schedule coming up. They played this well against the 1 seed while having 7 rotational players (Dinwiddie, Holiday, Neto, Bertans, Hachimura, Bryant, Harrell) out.
I'm looking forward to see how the Wizards can build on this game. And of course, credit to Chicago.
>Bradley Beal tips his cap to the Raptors: βCoach Nurse is always an interesting coach. He always has some junkyard defense to throw my way and make things difficult.β
>Wes Unseld Jr. after the Wizards lost two straight for the first time this year: βI didnβt like our effort or focusβ¦ we didnβt meet the challengeβ¦ it was inexcusable.β
Heβs played 4 games without Beal, and 23 games with him, but this is concerning that heβs played really well without Beal and pretty bad with him considering they signed him to a big contract over the offseason and Beal is Washingtonβs star player.
Maybe they should make a sixth man like Brooklyn did?

Surprised I haven't seen a player discussion thread on him yet considering how poorly he is performing but can we talk about him for a second?
This is a guy who would probably have been picked in the late first to early second round and is current ranked in the 60s on a per-game basis.
His scoring has tanked compared to previous seasons most likely on the back of abysmal FG%, better scorers around him and a lower FTA due to the new rules. On top of that hes now shooting poorly at the line?
What is going on? Hard to believe he was considered a superstar just last year
The only thing that could make things worse is him getting covid and missing a chunk of time for his vaccination status
His assists seem to be up which is the only saving grave
Owning this guy as been downright disappointing. He's currently 90th according to BBall Monster before tonight's game on the seaosn and 200 last 2 weeks. From the games I've watched, he seems very passive and lethargic. All he does is drive and kick out then disappears fort he rest of the possession. His 3s and fts have fallen off a cliff. His fts have now been a problem even when he gets to the line.
What are owner's thinking ROS? I'm gonna be honest. I think at best he'll be top 40 but I'm not getting my hopes up. I've been trying to trade him for a top 25 player just cuz he has name value but my league doesn't trade. The ONLY good thing about him is that wizards have a 4-4-4 schedule. Just tired of people saying it's just a slump. Something about him different this year
end rant
Beals three point shooting....what happened?
volume down.......percentage in free fall?
Are his legs going? That is often first thing to go for guards?
win share per 48 went from 0.132 last season, and 0.106 for career to only 0.042 this year - that is a HUGE drop off........something is going on??
Three point percentage | Attempts/gm | |
---|---|---|
12 to 13 | 38.6% | 4.2 |
13 to 14 | 40.2 | 4.7 |
14 to 15 | 40.7 | 4.1 |
15 to 16 | 38.7 | 4.9 |
16 to 17 | 40.4 | 7.2 |
17 to 18 | 37.5 | 6.5 |
18 to 19 | 35.1 | 7.3 |
19 to 20 | 35.3 | 8.4 |
20 to 21 | 34.9 | 6.2 |
21 to 22 | 27.8% | 5.5 |
Stats with/without each other:
Players | With/Without | GP | MPG | PPG | RPG | APG | FG% | 3P% | FT% |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Dinwiddie | With Beal | 23 | 28.8 | 10.2 | 4.7 | 4.7 | 34.5% | 27.5% | 83.1% |
Dinwiddie | Without Beal | 6 | 35.3 | 24.3 | 6.5 | 8.8 | 49.5% | 45.8% | 62.5% |
Beal | With Dinwiddie | 23 | 35.8 | 22.1 | 4.6 | 5.9 | 43.0% | 26.3% | 81.6% |
Beal | Without Dinwiddie | 8 | 37.7 | 29.3 | 4.9 | 8 | 54.4% | 36.1% | 85.5% |
There is a staggering difference between the two players when one sits vs. when they play with each other. We seen this when Dinwiddie played on the Nets when majority of the team was injured. You can even see a staggering difference between their shooting splits.
With the recent 2 game performance, Is this a sell high opportunity with Beal?
Disclaimer: I don't own Beal, but owned Dinwiddie. Dropped him several weeks back, and never been happier.
Im not saying but like you know what im saying :)
