There is going to be a film festival this week apparently - I have been in the country under a fortnight and would love to meet people, see movies and have fun. I'm planning to get chatting to people at the actual event and make friends, but I figured I'd post this up here incase anyone hadn't heard about it (I got it off meetup.com) and was interested in going!
The movies seem pretty varied so there should be stuff for everyone, hopefully - Never been before!

Today is the 1st day of an Atlanta film festival that Witness Underground is screening in. If you're in the southeast, please take this rare opportunity to stream our documentary at Peachtree Village International Film Festival.
They are operating on the Filmocracy platform which is a really cool new virtual space for film festivals as well as an incredible reasource for independent filmakers. They run their own festival in December. Fingers crossed we get into that one too!

Running Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My film, the Columbia-made BAD GIRLS, will be showing at 7:00 pm on Saturday.
Columbia-made feature film BAD GIRLS will have it's South Carolina theatrical premiere (something Covid kind of robbed it of when the movie was completed) on November 6th as part of the South Carolina Underground Film Festival. This will likely be the only chance to see BAD GIRLS on the big screen in South Carolina -- maybe ever? This event will likely sell out.

The Festival director hosted a Q&A directly after the World Premiere of Witness Underground. They were incredible hosts and asked great questions. It was the first time I felt comfortable in front of an audience talking about this religion.

We have been invited to three more festivals. One has invited all of the featured bands to play live in concert. So we are now doing a big creative push to film a new scene of the live performance, November 12th, in Minneapolis

Hello!
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the KC Underground Film Festival starts this week. All of the screenings are free, but tickets need to be reserved.
More information is available on our website, but I'll try to highlight some important information here.
- Masks & proof of vaccination are required at all screenings
- All screenings will be held indoors at The Charlotte Street Foundation's new arts campus
- This year's festival features 117 films from 27 countries including 42 local titles
