A list of puns related to "Bmw Motorrad"
Hey guys,
So BMW Motorrad Canada hosted a demo day earlier today over at Island Motorcycle Company in Victoria, BC. I was able to test ride the S1000RR (this was my first time to ever ride a litre bike) and if I could sum up my experience in a few words: "Holy F*** that was amazing" :D
Post reflections:
1.The bi-directional quickshifter is quite splendid, especially at highway speeds where each gear shift happens so smoothly. Definitely a must have for my next bike
Ergonomics: I expected a lot of strain on my wrists, as it is a supersport, however, I was quite surprised to see how comfortable it is.
Power delivery: I rode the bike only in rain mode for the duration of the ride. I was too chicken :)p to put in in road, let alone dynamic. In terms of throttle response, I noticed between the s1krr and my ninja 400, that the latter has noticeable freeplay on the throttle, but on the s1krr, as soon as you open that throttle even a little bit, it'll start to move (i'm not sure if that's normal or not, but something i wasn't expecting). Its quite docile around the streets and backroads, but once I got on the highway, and rolled that throttle-HOLY S***, it feels like warp speed after about 8k- my mind couldn't comprehend how fast the acceleration was, but you can bet that I was grinning from ear to ear when I felt that for the first time on a litre bike.
Weight: at 434lbs, its about 60lbs more than my 400, but it feels very light once you get moving.
Handling: It feels telepathic? I don't know how else to describe it. Again, comparing my 400 to the sk1rr, the 400 requires some effort to turn into the curves, but with the s1krr, just a slight touch, and it goes exactly where I want it to (again it took some getting used to).
All in all, I had a lot of fun, and would consider this bike sometime in the future.
