A list of puns related to "Blood Feast"
The plot of Blood Feast can be summarised very succinctly: In honour of Ishtar, the goddess of love, an Egyptian man slaughters women and harvests certain body parts from each, which he collects in the backroom of his catering business. Meanwhile, the police try and track him down. Simple as that.
Blood Feast might not break the mould with its story beats. As soon as every scene starts you can pinpoint exactly how it will end and what the following scene will be. Thereβs no mystery to help drive excitement either - the killer is fully revealed in the opening, and his motivations explained two scenes later. Regardless, Blood Feast remains a milestone of independent American horror, because it gets its bloody kicks elsewhere.
It is recognised as the first Splatter film, a sub-genre of movies that exist to unabashedly portray extreme scenes of violence and gore. Director Herschell Gordon Lewis was dissatisfied with the way films were focusing on the aftermath of murders, rather than the act itself, and set out to make a motion picture that would remedy the situation. I think it is fair to say, Mr Lewis succeeded.
Even today some of the visuals had me cancelling my delivery from the local Egyptian food truck. The early shot of a womanβs hacked-off leg in the tub and a later moment where pulpy blood dribbles from a womanβs gaping mouth were the main offenders for me. The inclusion of real animal organs, such as a massive sheepβs tongue, combined with the cameraβs deliberate fascination, produces a queasy effect not commonly found in films of this age. To sum it up, itβs not at all surprising that critics found it vulgar and appalling, and equally not at all surprising that it left audiences shocked but eager to see more.
Yes, most reviews found Blood Feast to be in very poor taste, but it is obvious that Lewis and his team were just having a bit of fun; a quick film made for a quick buck, a slice of entertainment to take horror fans that one step further. Inevitably then, it does all feel very slapdash and itβs tiny budget of $24000 dollar is felt in every frame: Some shots are out focus, audio levels are all over the place featuring some horrendous ADR, shoddy spray painted hair, characters act awkwardly to benefit the shot and other times Iβm certain they are reading the script for the first time during the take. Regardless of the fact weβve watched the police unfold the entire mystery that the audience were already informed of firsthand, they felt

Now, since January I've been playing nearly non-stop, mainly killer but also survivor. One thing I noticed is how hard it seems to gain blood points while playing survivor (even with We're Gonna Live Forever) compared to killer with BBQ + chili (granted I'm much better at Killer than survivor) but that got me thinking. When was the last bloodpoint event? I looked it up and it seems like there hasn't been one for years now. Did they discontinue them?
I've been trying to p3 every killer since I came back, and one of these events would definitely help, but I'm wondering, do they even do them anymore? Did they ever say why if they don't?

Ive been screwed a few times by people stacking their row with all of their veiled units, especially after I've played crimson curse. Feast of blood is a super cheap purify that adds bleed if you have a vampire on the board and deals 3 damage to a possibly important unit (harald comes to mind). I've been having a much easier time getting value from my leader since adding it. Hope this helps!
Because the giants ate there? I imagine most would be able to contain their food to their plates, and even hill giants might be able to keep it a little classier in a sacred place.
Or is it supposed to be something related to remorhaz activity?
Did I miss something?
