Do you have to be offered Blinn Team to go to the Blinn College station campus?
Hi,
For the past year, all I could ever talk about was going to Texas and attending Texas A&M so I was ecstatic when I was accepted into (Class of 25') Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn albeit not fully at A&M. TAMU is my top choice, and I really would like to go. However, I was doing some research and read that dual-credit and early college high school students with more than 40 hours cannot be admitted to the Engineering Academy?! Here's some info about me:
So, my first question is, How did I even get admitted to the Engineering Academy in the first place? Did they make a mistake? If they did, can they revoke my admission if they realize I have more than 40 hours? If they don't revoke it, will they not count my college credits in order for me to fit into the Engineering Academy requirements? Will I have to take all of Calc 1 to Differential Equations again???
I really want to go to A&M. It's been a dream of mine. But, I don't think I can go if I have to retake the important courses again. Not only would that mean I wasted my time and effort in high school just to retake the same classes again, but it wouldn't be fair to my parents either to have to pay for classes I have already taken and earned credit for. I've scheduled a meeting with my TAMU regional advisor, but I'd like to get an idea of what their answer may be when I meet with them. If anyone can provide some info and advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I am an Early college student and I am graduating w 60+ hours, I applied as an engineering major but I am unsure whether or not I will have a chance with BLINN. BLINN states a student cannot have more than 40 hours, how does this work with students who have loads of dual credit, do we all just get a straight rejection or admission?
Hi, whats the difference between studying at blinn college through TAMU or through the co-enrollment (brenham) to Texas A&M. Iβm also doing some AP tests in May 2021 to get some credits.. does any of those co-enrollments doesnβt accept AP credit?
I am applying to Liberal Arts and majoring in Spanish /Hispanic Studies with a teacher certification. My numbers do not stand out. 3.45 unweighted and 4.7 weighted, top 35%, SATβs 1190. I have extracurricular, sports, etc. I would not mind starting at a community college and transfering to UT or A&M. I know that itβs still really hard to get into UT as a transfer even with a 4.0 gpa from community college. I learned about Blinn and now think that may be another option. My question is how hard is it from Blinn to A&M? I am wondering if perhaps my major works in my favor since itβs not one of the super competitive ones. Any advice?
