Have archaeologist ever excavated the burial mound of björn ironside?
In 867 Rurik is married to Ingrid Bjornsdottir, the daughter of Bjorn Ironside, I tried looking around but I couldn't find anything that suggested that Bjorn Ironside had a daughter much less one married to Rurik. I believe Rurik was married to a Norwegian princess called Efanda, anglicized to Ingrid, but to my knowledge there is no evidence to suggest that she was the daughter of Bjorn Ironside.
Hi friends, we took a small trip to Munsö to find Björn’s grave and even though it was incredibly hard to find it (we had to walk through this forest and jump an electric fence - which someone told us it was fine to do), we even found this deer (?) skull and thought it would be cool to leave it on Björn’s grave. björn’s grave
