A list of puns related to "Bio Medical"
So recently I just got accepted to do Bio medical in the French Immersion stream. I have at 85-89% average stream (somehow got in). I was wondering if any biomedical student have some advice on how to make the next year easier because I heard itβs difficult.
TLDR: What type of electrical skills do you recommend to have that would complement biomed/med engineering and increase my chances of finding a job after graduation or standout.
Hi, I am currently studying engineering and will be majoring in Medical (Biomed my uni calls it Medical ) and Electrical engineering.
I have almost completed my medical engineering side of my degree and will be moving onto to do the electrical. However I need to decide why type of electrical units to select as I can't pick all of them. My question is for the biomed/med engineers and electrical engineers (or whoever doesn't matter) what type of electrical skills do you recommend to have that would complement biomed/med engineering and increase my chances of finding a job after graduation. I believe if I should do units that focus on electronics and signals however I don't know any medical engineers to confirm this. I have contacted my professors but they seem to be on leave due to the holidays which is fair enough.
EDIT 1: I don't mind if I work as an electrical engineer and not get into the medical engineering field after graduation
hi! happy week 2! if anyone has study tips for medical microbio (bio 124) with prof rong hai, it'd be greatly appreciated! he seems chill, but it's hard for me to understand what he's saying during lecture. not sure if he'll be posting recordings either :'(. any advice is appreciated! thank you!!
I find solace in the fact that I will never be this down bad or in need of validation. That is all.
My two research partners and I are in a class taught by Christian Madsbjerg called Technology and Human Observation. As the title implies, we want to observe and listen! We will definitely have questions but are ultimately more concerned with your individual story and life. I am not trying to imply that the aforementioned topics are all similar. I truly do not know how related they all are. We are only hoping we can connect with anyone with a robotic or technological enhancement attached to their body. We can video chat or meet in person if you are located in NYC!
I live in the Midwest and during winter months my energy levels fall off a bit and with the holidays I tend to put on a few lbs. I ordered those two products and wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them or ones like them? If not would anyone like to see a 30 day review? Product descriptions as per their website below.
G.A.C INJECTIONS - GLUTAMINE/ARGININE/L-CARNITINE
BIO BOOST aka LIPOTROPIC INJECTION METHIONINE/INOSITOL/CHOLINE/B6/B5/B12(CYANOCO)/L-ARG HCL/L-CARN/LIDOCAINE HCL
Royal Medical is my TRT provider which is how I heard about them
thinking of taking either one as a chill class so lmk which one would be better for that ty!!
No, the clitoris isn't a short blob located at the top of the vulva. It's 2021 my dude, time to update your charts. I was Carnegie polite in my email.
He refused, saying but it's only an introduction chapter or we just need to learn the basics and the best: I purposely didn't include some information, it's a pedagogical choice.
How spreading false information and pedagogical can be linked in the same sentence I'd never get it. But behold! He invites me to do a 5 min presentation on the clitoris so I can "teach my classmates and him about it." Because I've done such extensive research on the subject, right.
Really? It's MY job to teach HIM and his students about basic anatomy? Why would I spend hours preparing a presentation that would be out of place anyway when it'd take him less than 10min to redraw the organ on the chart bigger, replace the word "short" by "about 10cm long and 7 wide" and reupload the pdf?
He could have said "my bad I'll correct it" and that would've been the end of it. I don't see any reason for him not to correct his mistake. He's not even old. Fucking clown.

UPDATE : Thank you for your comments, awards and great advice. Your reaction gave me the reality check and laughs I needed. It definitely encouraged me to not let that teacher get away with this.
The first thing I did was to modify the paper myself and post it in our class messaging group with a brief explanation. It was well received and I'm now more confident they'll have my back in the future. As a presentation I'll just ask the teacher to play a video of my choice instead and give him my corrections. Like some of you said, being petty wouldn't be in my best interest. I haven't answered him yet but if my email doesn't convince him, I hope the whole class will after having watched the video. Only then will I consider informing the grades above.

About the school, I wish I could've rewritten my title because that was misleading. I'm in Europe and here the term medical school doesn't necessarily designate a university. Some guessed right that it's more like a pre-med school where we're reviewing the basics in a fast and condensed pace to then enter uni. I'm sorry if the story sounds less juicy now. Still doesn't change the fact that this teacher has his facts wrong and will continue to teach them wrong. We won't all be going deeper into anatomy after our certification and we may never have a second chance to learn better.

I see a lot of posts in here asking what jobs they can do after they graduate. Theyβre worried they got a useless degree and that jobs will be hard to find. However, Due to the pandemic hospitals need a lot of staff. Primarily, Lab Techs. The people who run all the labs/tests for the hospitals. And since covid testing has strained the system and people dissatisfied with the system. They need more people in this field.
Admittedly: the pay range is 30-50k on average, and it can be a demanding job. However, it would be a good gap-year job if youβre waiting to apply for med-school or any post-grad programs. Or just a reliable entry level position. Thereβs also the option of travel-MLT.
Hope this helps for everyone who is worried about jobs. Cheers
I know that at UofT you take general Life Sci during first year and then specialize later on, is it the same at UofG?
Or should I try a medicine foundation year. My gcse are 7,7,6,6,6,6,6,5
