I just saw No Way Home last night and was blown away. I honestly did not like the last two previous Spider-Man movies as much as the others but this last one had a much more in-depth emotional storyline and I can’t wait to see how Jon Watts brings all four members of the Fantastic Four to life and the story he ends up creating.
Anyone else feel the same way?
Obviously BBT is a show that people love to hate and I completely agree: the punchline of most jokes basically amounts to someone saying something nerdy and that's supposed to be funny. As someone else once said, it's like Futurama is a show for nerds, and BBT is a show for making fun of nerds, which I find weak. The characters especially I find not funny: all the Raj jokes get old very quickly, Leonard is annoying, Penny's character is always the same, and Sheldon can be funny but most of the time is just very annoying (Bazinga is not funny at all). However, I think Howard is a great character. I am not a massive fan of how sleazy he was with penny but at least it was an interesting dynamic. I just feel he is the character that has the most depth and the most nuance compared to the other who are just robots to me. His impressions are also incredibly good and he has a clear character arc unlike the other characters, in my opinion. What do you think?

I’ve tried to ignore the undeserved hostility this song has received in this sub, but no longer. Fantastic Baby is one of Big Bang’s best songs and an absolute, undeniable BANGER.
I know how iconic and impactful this song is on the industry is undeniable, and seems largely agreed upon, but I’ve noticed in this sub and in general that it is now being seen as cringey and an embarrassing attempt at EDM. I could not disagree further.
The iconic impact of the song on the industry aside, the song is an absolute beast. The pre-chorus w Daesung and Taeyang is godly. The beat is so powerful and so addicting. The music video is so simple yet paints the boys as ice cold, powerful royalty. The song and video put a huge spotlight on how undeniably charismatic and talented they are. Everything about it serves the guys in the absolute way best possible. I still see the music video views and comments increasingly significantly every time I revisit it, and it’s even about to hit 500mil.
You throw this on the aux and you CANT HELP but start head banging. You find your posture improving after seeing Taeyang’s flawless form. You read the lyrics to your grandmother in the form of a soliloquy and she can’t help but tear up. Suddenly your hair is bleached and covering your eyes. Not too soon after, your dreams have come true as you watch the sunrise over a sparkling lake; the trees are starting to look just a little bit greener.
Fantastic Baby is undeniably addicting and it will be the first thing my children hear out of the womb. I rest my case.
I mean, who doesn't love a night out in Chinatown once you get them there? We had a large enough group to really order a bunch of different dishes and dim sum, and everyone had a great time. Everyone faces each other at the round table, everyone is discussing the food you're all sharing, and the kids get to enjoy the train ride. Just a perfect outing for a large group, especially out of towners who traditionally never leave the loop and River North no matter how much I beg, lol. Such a different night than stuffing 8-12 people in 3 Ubers and a long party table at one of the Italian places we usually end up doing with everyone. I think we have a new tradition! And I have my niece and nephews to thank with their unprompted begging for bubble tea the entire trip. Once I told them about Chinatown and turned them loose on my sister, it was only a matter of time before she caved, lol.
