A list of puns related to "Betty Garrett"
Iβm Max Filby, a health and medicine reporter for The Columbus Dispatch. I have been following the coronavirus outbreak since January when a central Ohio man got stuck in Wuhan, China which was the starting point and epicenter of what became the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm Anne Saker, a career daily journalist and health writer at The Cincinnati Enquirer/Cincinnati.com. I have followed the story of the novel coronavirus in Southwest Ohio since late January when Ohio did its first tests for the virus on two Miami University students just returned from a trip to China. Betty Lin-Fisher has been with the Akron Beacon Journal for 25 years. She has been the longtime consumer reporter and columnist and is also currently the medical reporter. Betty has also covered local news, business and worked as a copy editor.
Amanda Garrett is unable to join today so Anne Saker from The Cincinnati Enquirer will be here to answer questions. We will start answering questions at 11 a.m. ET

My husband and I are debating on characters from other mediums that are similar to Nick Miller (specifically female ones). I think Jake Peralta from b99 is similar but thatβs kind of all weβve come up with and we obviously need some more brain power π
Do you remember the last time Bill Simmons wrote a wild-card playoff column? It was right after the 2017 season. He went 0-4 against the spread (2-2 straight up, although I'm told by the man himself that straight up doesn't mean anything), and we all had a grand old time watching a video called "Ram It" that appears to have been removed from YouTube.
In case you need a reminder of how long ago the 2018 playoffs were, here were the quarterbacks playing that week: Matt Ryan (run it back again with Matt in 2022, Atlanta!), Drew Brees (not quite a cadaver back then), Alex Smith (backed up by rookie Mahomes, offering hope to Trey Lances everywhere), Jared Goff (McVay's debut season), Marcus Mariota (Tannehill was with Adam Gase in Miami), Tyrod Taylor (who later got benched for Josh Allen -- as it turned out, not because of racism), Blake Bortles (who has had 5 stints, 0 starts, and innumerable Pardon My Take appearances in the past 3 seasons), and Cam Newton (who half of the Panthers fan base still thinks is the guy to lead them to the Super Bowl). By the way, Nick Foles and Case Keenum were poised to match up in the NFC Championship (or, as Bill would say, "Round 3") a couple weeks later. Suffice to say that times have changed.
So, I wanted to offer this mailbag to you as a sort of crude imitation of the able-fingered man we once knew (I hope, for the Sports Gal's sake, that he's still able to satisfy her in other ways). These are real tweets from actual tweeters, but the Bill impression is preposterously fake. Despite that, let's have some fun, make some picks, and argue in the comments section about what we expect this weekend.
I think we had spent so much time talking up the tie (and in that moment hearing about the tie) that by then we, as a football watching society, had convinced ourselves they were Definitely Doing The Tie.
THE CHARGERS TOOK THE TIMEOUT AND THAT BROKE THE TRUST BETWEEN THE TWO ITβS CLASSIC PRISONERβS DILEMMA
Let's talk about the almost-tie. I think the end of that game has the potential to become this generation's JFK assassination. It's an event that offe

After the end of World War II, soldier Kyle Martin (Gary Conway, Land of the Giants, Once is Not Enough, Burkeβs Law) has returned to his family farm in Georgia. Β Now back home in the southern USA, Kyle discovers that the local bank wants to foreclose on his familyβs farm. But Kyle then saves the life of a local gambler Johnny Oβ (Michael Dante, Winterhawk, The Naked Kiss) from a burning car accident and is rewarded $15,000, delivered by Johnny Oβs girl Betty (Angel Tompkins, Prime Cut, One Man Jury, The Teacher). However, that was still not enough money to pay the bank for the farm. When Johnny Oβ gets blinded for past-posting on a horse race run by a local gangster Pessinni (George Memmoli, Blue Collar, Lunch Wagon, Phantom of the Paradise) and his local thugs, he offers Kyle the money he needs to save the farm in return for killing off the gangsters one by one. Also starring Timothy Scott (Fried Green Tomatoes, Lolly Madonna XXX, Eye of the Tiger), Johnny Popwell (In the Heat of the Night, The Visitor), Eric Weston (Evilspeak, The Iron Triangle), and Stratton Leopold (The Visitor, Wise Blood). Music composed by legendary composer Hugo Montenegro (The Wrecking Crew, The Lady in Cement) and Directed by David Berlatsky (Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, The Deep). The Farmer, which was distributed by Columbia Pictures in 1977, has not been seen since then, until now!

A few months ago, a dive into Grant Hill's Wikipedia page got me wondering. How many active teammates did he have? Curiosity piqued, I went from there and scanned over all NBA Hall of Famers and compiled their active teammates. And then did it with baseball. The NFL, with their much larger rosters, was a bit frightening, but here it is at last! First, a few ground rules.
A. Each player must have either played this year, or be on the injured reserve. No free agents, so players like Larry Fitzgerald were disqualified from this exercise.
B. Practice Squad DOES count. Tahir Whitehead played with Calvin and he's on a practice squad this year, I counted him. On the flip side, TO only played on the Seahawks practice squad in 2012, but I still counted the Hawks teammates.
C. Finally- I'm anything but perfect! I skimmed over all these rosters over a few hours, and I'm sure I missed a few here or there. Only caught Broncos Brett Kern, Steelers Brian Hoyer and Falcons Dustin Colquitt at the last moment. If you see where I erred, don't be afraid to correct me- I also used the rosters on Wikipedia, because Football Reference is murderously slow, so that might not capture the full season. Anyway, the players!

keep reading on reddit β‘I really enjoyed doing my Super Bowl losing Quarterbacks ranking (thanks to everybody who followed that) so I definitely wanted to do another one. Since my last two series both focused on quarterbacks, I wanted to do another position this time, so I thought it would be fun to rank the lead rusher of every team that won the Super Bowl.
First, let's define what we mean by lead rusher. The term "lead rusher" refers to the player who gained the most rushing yards of any player on the team during the regular season of the year that team won the Super Bowl. In the case of every Super Bowl winning team, that player is always either a running back or a fullback. In some cases, one back gets more carries or touchdowns, or a different back will take the lead in the playoffs, but the player included on the list is the one who got the most rushing yards during the regular season. However, I am ranking the players based on their entire careers and not just the Super Bowl season. In cases where the same player led more than one Super Bowl winning team in rushing yards, that player will receive one entry for their entire career, not separate entries for each season. Because of several repeats, a total of 43 men have led the 55 Super Bowl winning teams in rushing.
To make this ranking easier, I've divided it into four tiers: The Bottom Tier (43-31), the Mid Tier (30-21), the Top Tier (20-11), and the Hall of Fame Tier (10-1). This is the second post in the series, the mid tier. I will begin working on the Top Tier post and post it as soon as it is ready, probably some time in the next week. I will link to Part 1 at the bottom.
Let's begin.
30. Matt Snell, 1968 New York Jets (191 attempts, 695 yards, 4 touchdowns)
A native of Long Island, Snell was a versatile player who played halfback, fullback, and defensive end at Ohio State. Both New York teams selected Snell in the 1964 draft- the Jets took him with the third overall pick in the first round of the AFL draft, while he fell to the fourth round of the NFL draft and was selected by the Giants. Snell opted to play for the Jets.
Snell quickly became New Yorkβs lead rusher. His rookie year, he was named an AFL All-Star after rushing for 948 yards and 5 touchdowns, second in the league behind Buffaloβs Cookie Gilchrist, and the first of three such nods he would earn in his career. Between 1964 and 1969, Snell led the Jets in rushing yards every year except 1967, where he played in only seven games due to torn k

justin verlander - 1/11+ - houston (50%)
> Disgustingly cheap contract for Verlander considering what he got IRL and what others would've paid him here. Just big misfire by his agent and good job by iama.
> Verlander's is ridiculous compared to irl.
belt - 1/11 - cleveland (41%)
> A very lowkey "good" deal, but Belt has been very good these last two years, and Cleveland finally gets another power bat.
> the value is basically fair and I actually feel like this is not a huge steal for the team, especially considering the draft pick. Selecting it is somewhat more of a commentary on the relative low price compared to the QO.

wander - irl deal - tb (32%)
> New Ethan went off with this one. There's some recency bias with how a lot of us are viewing Kluber, but if he is healthy in 2022, this deal will look insanely good for the Rays.
> Picking Franco because that contract is dumb and will wind up being even better than the Acuna and Albies deals. Steals all around.
> Was very close to doing almost the same deal. I would only count on him pitching half a season, but it's worth it.

ohtani (55%)
>Ohtani getting that much term when he could very easily tear his arm tomorrow and never pitch again shows that Pat really ran the team with as little thinking as possible. Extensions suck and should never be done in the sim.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
