A list of puns related to "Best Fringe"
Edit: After exploring some more I found Haddock Cove had a Deep Mirelurk King that lunges out of the water onto the dock in front of you.
The Far Harbor DLC really loves jump scares. Hermit Crabs are always terrifying the first time as well, then you know to double check trucks.
While Wander Franco is still MLB's best prospect, Blue Jays catching prospect Gabriel Moreno is giving every other minor leaguer in baseball a run for their money. Moreno is hitting .444/.519/.667 as a 21-year-old in Double-A Northeast. This is good for the 8th highest wRC+ across all of Minor League Baseball, at 230. Taking into account age relative to level, Moreno is having the best offensive season in the MiLB this year.
Why should you consider this a potentially real breakout? Because Moreno didn't exactly come out of nowhere. He was already a very hyped prospect in the Blue Jays system as a hyper-athletic, strong makeup, high offensive production-type player. Even before we missed a year of his development due to the cancelled COVID season, he was mashing minor league pitchers, with a 134 wRC+ as a 19-year-old in A and a 204 wRC+ as an 18-year-old in Rookie ball.
People were already naming him alongside Kirk and Jansen back in 2019 when pondering on the Blue Jays catcher of the future. (At the time Ben Badler of Baseball America picked Captain Kirk, which was completely understandable considering Kirk's own incredible ability to hit the ball).
That being said, only FanGraphs truly bought into the early hype. Of the three major outlets coming into the season, FanGraphs was the only one that had Moreno on their top 100, at #93. Baseball America has since quickly added him with an in-season adjustment, and he's yet to make the MLB Pipeline list.
Don't be surprised if he goes from off the board straight into MLB's top 10 by midseason. But if he keeps up this pace? As a 21-year-old in AA at a premium position with good defensive ability? He might be baseball's next #1 prospect after Franco graduates.

To me it seems that not having to pre-round anymore and waltzing in at 9-10am are what I'm looking forward to the most. Attendings who browse here what other unexpected improvements in QoL do I have to look forward to?
I've lived in Edinburgh for a few months but still don't know anyone. I've been trying to get out of my (social anxiety) shell to meet new people. Now that the Fringe is on & lockdown restrictions are easing, I thought it could be a good opportunity to be social.
What are the best ways to meet people during the Fringe? Should I just go to random events (e.g. standup comedy), have a few beers and try to chat to people? Are there any types of events that are particularly good for meeting people (e.g. group tours versus theatre)? I'll also be going alone instead of in a group, so not sure if that changes things.
Watching the series through for the third time. Great great music. I love the episode with Chris Lloyd!
Especially it being years before the ultimate answer

What's your favorite?
Sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this, feel free to take down! Otherwise, I'm looking for the title basically. I might just suck at Google so I figured I'd ask here as well.
Best friend is getting married, both him and his soon-to-be wife are huge Fringe fans. I think they would love this gift!
Thanks in advance!
Just did a complete Fringe rewatch, and, still love it as much as when it aired. Looking for a little extra Fringe-y goodness.
So, fellow fans, give me your best Fringe fic recs! I'm solidly a Polivia shipper, but I'm cool with any pairing. And I'm cool with any rating.
:D
Watched it some years ago and really enjoyed it. Since then, there's always so much stuff to watch that I never rewatch anything - but something made me skip what's on Netflix etc in favour of buying the Fringe blu-rays, and spent the last few months watching it again... and enjoyed it even more.
My obvious comparison is to Lost, which I finally watched last year. Sure it's silly but, I also enjoyed it it - it's a great mystery and a lot of fun... but for me the characters are the main difference. Lost has some good, interesting characters - but they are generally not actually likeable people.
Whereas I am again in love with everyone in Fringe, rooted for all of them throughout the series. Arguably it's taking the easy way out to write them all as likeable characters, but it gives the whole series a charm that I find hard to compare to anything else.
Anyway, no point as such, just an anti-rant, having got to the end of the journey :) Except maybe to ask what to watch next?

[[Krenko, Mob Boss]] was the first commander I ever built. I've spent the better part of the last 5 years upgrading and tuning this deck to be something perfect. This deck typically wins on turn 5 or 6, but I've had turn 4 wins a few times. There's a primer in the deck description if that's something that interests you. I want this to be the best Krenko deck possible.
The gameplan is split between trying to win with a combo or trying to win with combat damage. It typically ends up being a combo win, but wins with incremental damage happen as well. There are four combos at the moment:
[[Thornbite Staff]] + sac outlet + Krenko = infinite goblins. If the sac outlet provides mana, this also makes infinite damage for the win. This is the combo I most commonly win with.
[[Umbra Mantle]] + Repeatable mana source + Krenko = Infinite goblins and mana. The mana source must be either [[Skirk Prospector]], [[Phyrexian Altar]], or [[Mana Echoes]]. This is the combo I'm most likely to cut.
[[Staff of Domination]] + Repeatable mana source + Krenko = Infinite goblins, mana, and draw. This is a better version of the Umbral Mantle combo.
[[Breath of Fury]] + global haste enabler + Krenko + opponent that can't block = Infinite combat damage. In my meta there is almost always an opponent that doesn't have any blockers (for some reason). The haste enabler has to be something that gives haste to all creatures I control. For this combo, I enchant a goblin token with Breath of Fury and then use it to attack the player that canβt block (all other tokens will attack other players). When it deals damage there will be an extra combat phase, all creatures I control untap (more importantly, Krenko untaps), and then Breath of Fury snaps on to a different token. I tap Krenko to get more goblins before starting the next combat phase. Because the new tokens have haste, this continues until all opponents are dead.
Notably missing from this deck is:
[[Kiki-Jiki]] combos: At five mana Kiki-Jiki is a hassle to play, and is kind of a dead card. When I used him there were rarely good targets to copy. The cards that combo with him are also kinda dead (except for Combat Celebrant). The combo cards that I use all have some level of use outside of the combo, so there are no dead cards.
[[Conspicuous Snoop]] combo: Same issues as the Kiki-Jiki combos. It adds dead cards, and my opponents often see this combo coming.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Kind of like the title says, I'm looking into "fringe" Iowa stuff because i'm bored, and Google search and Buzzfeed lists only go so far.
Anyone have local legends, or weird stories? Perhaps more axe murders? I've heard some crazy shit happens at those "V-parties" in DSM. Who's been to one of those?
I want to hear anything you guys have in your "Crazy shit that happens in Iowa" folder
I'm still one of those idiots who's quarantining and I'm this bored

I'm wondering which thread everyone uses for their fringe on brick stitch earrings. I've always strayed away from doing fringe because I can't ever get mine to lay nicely and uniformly and I'm a perfectionist to a fault.
I've tried wildfire .006 and .008, but feel that it's to stiff, fireline which looks better than the above mentioned, but still not the look that I'm going for, and Nymo D. I have a love/hate relationship with Nymo. I feel that it frays entirely too easy even after waxing it, and knots too easily, but I like the way it lays a bit better than wildfire/fireline.
Am I missing something? Everyone's fringe always looks so perfect and mine looks so wonky! Any suggestions would be SO appreciated!
(Will attempt to put a picture of my sad earrings below)
