Were there any prior announcements eluding to what he would have done once the NBC deal ended and ESPN took over the second half starting in 2007? Would he have possibly returned to ESPN?
Would he have perhaps just done the TNT summer 6 races considering that was where the majority of his broadcast crew colleagues went?
Would FOX somehow play a role in his signing? Or was he prepared to retire regardless of his health?

Was just wondering about this because Bill Weber and Wally stayed in the booth, but there were some changes on pit road (no more Bestwick) so I was curious whether Parsons was still going to be a part of the new TV deal at the time.
