A North Battleford Saskatchewan Haunted House

I endured extreme paranormal/unusual activity from late 1960's to late 1970's. On two different occasions I saw two pairs of weird, hairy, ,dirty finger-nailed hands scrabble back and forth beneath the kitchen door that separated the back door and stairway leading down to the family room and two bedrooms in the basement. The movements were very fast and aggressive and the hands scratched at the kitchen floor from beneath the door. They were only visible from the forearms (below the elbows) to the hands. When I jerked the door open, amid screams and shrieks from my cousins and friends, nothing would be there. This was witnessed by two different groups of people about a year apart. It was NOT wild animals . There was no sign of scat or damage and there was no way for wild animals to get in or out. It wasn't our cat either because he was upstairs with us both times. Our dog was with my parents each time it happened and looking back now, that may be significant.

Another time, a heavy rounded, old fashioned fridge jumped up and down in kitchen while the fridge handle frantically moved up and down. It was loud and frightening in the middle of the day and came out of nowhere. The kids were screaming so I went to the door and with every ounce of courage I could muster, opened it up and it stopped. I had to watch the handle and plan a grab because it was moving so fast.

In the middle of the day my little brother and his friend saw a large greenish orb streaked with black, float from my older brother's basement bedroom, to the empty bedroom next to it that was always so icy cold we couldn't use it.

When my big brother moved out, I moved into his bedroom. I would hear whispering and my name being called, usually at night but not always. My friends heard their names called too. It didn't matter what time it was. Many nights I would see a dark mass near the bedroom closet. The ice cold bedroom closet was on the other side of that closet. It would move up the wall, onto the ceiling and expand as it did so. Then it dropped down over me. I would squeeze my eyes shut and pray until I fell asleep. I learned that if I ignored it and did not look at or think about it while it was still on the wall by my closet, it would not expand and climb up and then down over me.

All the weirdness seemed to happen after my older brother and I heard three extremely loud organ notes in middle of the night after coming home from our respective nights out. It was around 3 am. We h

The_Powerben talks Healthcare in North Battleford, Saskatchewan

NDP candidate The_Powerben speaks inside the Battlefords Union Hospital in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. An audience of NDP supporters, as well as many medical professionals convene for the speech

β€œYears ago, New Democrats worked to build a single-payer healthcare system in this country. Now it is time to protect it. It is time we expanded coverage, bring down wait times, and make sure everyone has access to the medical care they need.

Under a New Democratic government, you would see an increase in the Canada Health Transfer, leading to more frontline staff and better facilities. With more funding, we would be able to slash wait time and provide care for anyone in need. Increasing funding is a simple solution, but it is one that works and will make the lives of millions of Canadians better in the long run.

If our efforts to increase the universality and effectiveness of our healthcare system, we must make some serious policy changes. First off, we need to get rid of user fees in their entirety. These fees stand in the way of Canadians getting the treatment they need, so they must go. We will accomplish this with a renewed provincial health agreement. Along with this, the NDP is dedicated to providing other fundamental health programs that may not fall under the umbrella of typical healthcare. Under an NDP government, Canadians will receive universal pharma care and dental care. These services are vital to many Canadians health, so it is irresponsible for the government to not guarantee them.

Mental Health is an issue that resonates with all of us. Almost everyone here today knows at least one relative or friend who struggles with their mental health. The New Democrats are proud to have funded mental health initiatives from the ground up in the government's budget, and we will continue to fund these incredibly important programs.

The Liberals and the Conservatives claim to support the healthcare of everyday Canadians, but is that really the case? In the last government, a Liberal and Conservative majority failed to uphold their promise to the Canadian people and failed to achieve any meaningful progress in our healthcare system. The story is the same every time. The conservatives will claim that they would never do anything thing to threaten healthcare funding, then once in power, they do just that. Unlike the other parties, the NDP has been dedicated to healthcare from the beginning and it is the NDP who have remained dedicated since. Ladie
