I moved down from LA a few months ago where the driving is scary, but mainly because the roads are so poorly designed that routine things end up becoming terrifying. Here, Iβm terrified of everyone else on the road. I almost daily see people pushing triple digits and weaving in and out of traffic, bikers popping wheelies on fast or congested streets, and road rage. I just got road raged on where the guy hung his head out the window to look back at me while going faster than me on the freeway. Like you either got mad at me that I took a few seconds out of your day because I had to merge in front of you, with plenty of blinker warning, or you thought what I did was unsafe. So you either took time out of your day to do something stupid because I took time out of yours, or you did something incredibly unsafe because you thought I did something unsafe. It just doesnβt make sense, and there have been a few close calls in just a few months of living here
