Has anyone gotten Bally Astrocade to work using MESS? If so, what is the command line you use in Hakchi to get the games working? Thanks in advance!
I'm having some issues getting Bally Astrocade to work. Setup is as follows:
Launchbox 11.4 with BigBox
MAME64 standalone version (I don't know if it matters but I'm using the 0.214 set)
I have Bally Astrocade listed under Associated Platforms in MAME with a default command line parameter "astrocde -cart" (without the quotes)
BallyAlley MAME romset
I managed to get some games working but here are some issues I'm having.
- Exit autohotkey doesn't work with Astrocade games, I have to hit esc on my keyboard. I can hit
select+start to exit MAME games, but not Astrocade.
Edit: I added "Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}}" (without quotes) to the Exit Autohotkey Script tab in MAME right above where it says you don't need a custom script, lol. It worked for exiting Astrocade games and MAME games still work fine.

Astrocade uses a number pad to select game options and I currently have to use my keyboard.
I've seen screenshots of a virtual keyboard overlay but I don't know how to bring it up. Is that a
function of MAME? -
Although the BallyAlley MAME romset has 128 roms in the abbreviated, MAME, zipped format,
when I import them to LaunchBox it only imported 9 games.
Edit: I deleted the MAME format ROMS and imported the Bally TOSEC pack which is in the long name format and this time it imported all 136!

Does it exists? Since Channel F core is available for hakchi I thought maybe Bally has one too. The system was more powerful than both Channel F and 2600.
