A list of puns related to "Bakugou"
I wrote a meta (? bad meta?) about Bakugou's character and his bullying, and how Hori dismantles his whole character to build him up again. I divided it in generic points, and I skipped a bunch of stuff! I tried to focus on the main points for this to not get too long.
This has manga spoilers.
EDIT: Added some grammar corrections and pictures.
Also I used the MANGA for this. Anime Bakugou is a bit more "yelling for comedy" than the manga, plus, I used the one shot "Deku & Bakugou Rising" which really shows the pattern of Bakugou's bullying.
I'll here talk about Bakugou'sΒ βreasonsβ (definitely not rational) and his own character journey. This, of course, does not condone his actions, and Bakugou himself firmly believes thatβ¦ later on, as soon as he gets some self reflection.
Deku and Kacchan used to be friends, as kids, playing together with Deku in the clear role of the follower and Bakugou being the little leader of a band of kids. While itβs clear that Bakugou was always arrogant, the real bullying stars when Deku finds out he is quirkless. Deku is here one of the random extras, quirkless, weaker, easily pushed around. In Bakugouβs mind he is better than Deku. He is destined to be a great hero, and Deku is not, Deku is useless. Bakugou defines himself with strength, and he had always done so.
We know that Bakugou admires All Might because heroes win. While Deku admires All Might because heroes save. And when Bakugou falls in the river, Deku offers him a hand to "help/save" him... except that Deku is supposed to be beneath him. When Bakugou falls in the river, Deku is acting like a hero,Β βsavingβ him. This has two implication: that Bakugou needs saving and thus he is not strong enough, and that Deku is strong so he can do the saving.
We get this confirmed by Bakugou during the later Deku vs Kacchan art 2 (scan).
Such a silly interaction (falling in a river and an offered hand) had enormous consequences in Bakugouβs view and hatred of Deku. I think itβs safe to believe that Bakugouβs arrogant behavior turned into bullying right here and was exacerbated every time Deku acted like a hero.
The one shotΒ βDeku & Bakugou risingβ implies that the bullying turned more towards indifference up to the second year of middle school, where Deku, once more, shows h

Now I think we have all seen the good old standard UA entry test and what not, with Bakugou being his usual prickly self, and with authors not being able to deviate from canon in the slightest.
And I always sit at the edge of my chair whenever Bakugou shows up, because I love the dude in the manga, not because of his power but because of his character development.
But in so many fics everything sticks so close to canon until the UA test, and the dreaded All Might lesson (might as well throw in some good old bashing because All Might, well, he aint quite as hawt as some of the other characters) and right after that, just as it starts to get good and I think to myself: Finally, some development for this character.
It doesnt happen. Sure, he changes into a very nice, but someone prickly individual for seemingly... no reason.
I don't mind him changing in this direction but I want there to be a reason for the change. I want there to be a process.
Not just BAM! besties.
So, in conclusion, I want to fics where Bakugou gets character development for a reason, and for it to not happen in an afternoon like in so many fics out there.
just as title says with a little twist,he doesn't use any of the guns In the game and is only reliant on his explosion quirk.
Bakugou: "Give me back my quirk Deku!"
Izuku: "...No, no I don't think I will"
This morning I woke up and was so horny for Bakugou it wasnβt even funny. I actually typed Bakugou smut into google I canβt believe I did that. I ended up writing a 3 page long scene and my computer completely froze and broke right as I finished the smut scene! I had a test lafter and I couldnβt take it bc my fuking computer would only show the word doc and nothing else!! I had to show my teacher proof that I couldnβt take the test and and my soul is now dead. Goodbye cruel world.

This is a parallel to Bakugou's analysis: https://www.reddit.com/r/BokuNoHeroAcademia/comments/mzy6ea/bakugous_hero_journey_an_analysis_of_bakugous/
Of course, there is so much more to Deku than his relationship with Bakugou, there is his determination, his admiration for All Might, the delightful surprise of finding himself in a class of actual friends, the unwavering support he feels for all of them. The reason why I decided to focus on Deku's hero journey in relation to Bakugou is for three reasons:
As the previous ones, this will also be divided in subsections. With this I want to explain how Bakugou is using by the narrative as a useful device to show us Deku's hero journey. Basically these are the questions I am interested in answering with this meta:
Deku and Kacchan used to be friends, as kids, playing together with Deku in the clear role of the follower and Bakugou being the little leader of a band of kids. While itβs clear that Bakugou was always arrogant, the real bullying stars when Deku finds out he is quirkless. I will not talk here about Bakugouβs side of the story, just about Dekuβs.
Deku never really knew the real reasons for the bullying. In his mind, Bakugou looked down on HIM for being quirkless, even gifting him with that cruel nickname. The bullying seem to take mostly a sense of indifference, from Bakugou, later one. We even have a scene where Bakugouβs minions bully Deku, and Bakugou tells them βlet him dream at leastβ, regarding Dekuβs dream to be a hero. (this is from Deku & Bakugou rising one shot).
