A list of puns related to "Bahá'í Faith And The Unity Of Religion"
Have a listen.
Bahá’í is a religion of Islamic origin, so I’m curious if Geedis might have some sort of mythical significance to people in that region, like a Jinn.
Edit: Also, The Land of Ta is mentioned in Bahá’í literature.
“Let nothing grieve thee, O Land of Tá (Ṭihrán), for God hath chosen thee to be the source of the joy of all mankind.”
Gleanings from the writings of Bahá’u’lláh
Disclaimer: I am not of the Bahá’í faith, or any other faith. I’m just trying to show my findings for the Geedis search.
April 26. On this date in 1954, Shoghi Effendi received the President of Israel Yitzhak Ben-Zvi and his wife Rachel Yanait Ben-Zvi at the the House of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in Haifa. In the chapter titled The Heart and Nerve Centre in her book The Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith, Amatu'l-Bahá Rúhíyyih Khánum describes this meeting...
> In January 1949 Mr. Ben Gurion, the Prime Minister of the Provisional Government, came to Haifa on his first official visit and the Mayor naturally invited Shoghi Effendi to attend the reception being given in his honour by the Municipality. The dilemma was acute, for if the Guardian did not go, it would, with every reason, be taken as an affront to the new Government, and if he did go he would inevitably be submerged in a sea of people where any pretence at protocol would be swept away (this was indeed the case, as my father, Shoghi Effendi's representative, reported after he returned from this reception). The Guardian therefore decided that as he would not be attending, but was more than willing to show courtesy to the Prime Minister of the new State, he would call upon him in person. With great difficulty this was arranged through the good offices of the Mayor of Haifa, Shabatay Levy, as Mr. Ben Gurion's time in Haifa was very short and it was only two days before the first general election in the new State.
> The interview took place on Friday evening, January 21st, in the private home the Prime Minister was staying in on Mt. Carmel and lasted about fifteen minutes. Ben Gurion enquired about the Faith and Shoghi Effendi's relation to it and asked if there was a book he could read; Shoghi Effendi answered his questions and assured him he would send him a copy of his own book [God Passes By](https://en.wikipedia.org/w
... keep reading on reddit ➡It seems to me that, in the Bible, the Book of Isaiah, John 6, John 10, Romans 9, Romans 10, Ephesians 1, Ephesians 2, and the Book of Hebrews seem to teach about a Jesus that is God, a universe in which God decrees all that comes to pass, our free will is only compatibilistic rather than libertarian, our salvation is God's choice alone (not ours because of total depravity), His choice in this matter is irresistable, and Jesus, who is God, the perfect sacrifice, and the High Priest, died for the sins of an elect people (not everyone, but those who God chose from eternity past). Why does the Bahá’í Faith differ on this if this is really what the Bible says? It seems to me to be the most consistent interpretation of the Bible, so if the Bahá’í Faith believes Christianity to be a true religion from God, why does it differ on this matter that seems to be so clearly laid out?
EDIT: This is an honest question from someone who has been investigating the Bahá’í Faith for a few years. Sorry if it came across as a challenge or sort of rude.
May this time of spiritual reflection be everything you hope for.
