The historic city of Aït Benhaddou in Morocco. We have been travelling Morocco for 6 weeks now and this is definitely one of our highlights! Most people visit as a day trip but it’s definitely worth spending at least a night as sunsets and sunrises here with little crowds was something else!

TIL that families still live in Aït Benhaddou, a 17th century Moroccan fortified city. Its historic buildings continue to be preserved almost exclusively through traditional methods, and the city was the setting for many high-profile films and TV shows such as Game of Thrones and Gladiator. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C…

Aït Benhaddou - The most beautiful spot in Morocco?

Just returned from an epic trip to Morocco and had to share this epic desert fortress with you.

Ait Benhaddou is a UNESCO World Heritage site 4 hours south-east of Morocco. Am not sure if words alone can describe just how beautiful this place is.

Though, I have to be honest with you, it's more beautiful from afar than close-up. Some of the ancient Kasbah's are in serious need of renovation, but let's hope that a bit of tourist money will fix that.

Monuments in eastern Europe?

Hello. I've been playing on 1.30.6, so I had no clue about monuments. But now that I checked them, I feel like the eastern Europe is pretty... empty. Are there any plans to change that?

Sure, there is are two, but one requires you to be Russia or Ruthenia (east slavic culture group), the other one requires you to be Orthodox. I know about Jagiellonian University, maybe Wawel Castle too, in Krakow, I hope they could include that at some point, and I have no clue, but didn't Novogrod, Baltic States, Hungary, half of Balkans, Crimea and even Finland and Sweden have something? Anything? I feel like Paradox spammed monuments in southeast Asia and ignored all the other parts of the world.

I'd also love if they were a bit more balanced, I mean, holy fuck -5 or -10% tech cost from Angkor Wat or Aït Benhaddou with a ton of global trade bonuses seems huge compared to Mount Fuji, fucking tax in area, -dev cost for a hill province (as if you were deving it when you have chinese farmlands) and +0,5 prestige or Ambras Castle with defensiveness and prestige again. What the hell?

Simcity Buildit Mayor's Pass Season 14 - The Timeless Sands (Where ancient meets modern) - Tiers, awards and points per tier / War Vu-pass tier points

The following list gives an overview for the mayor's pass season 14, The Timeless Sands - Where ancient meets modern, of Simcity Buildit, which runs for 6 weeks, starting on April 21st 2021. The mayor's pass has 42 tiers.

---> A screenshot of all new buildings in this season (14) can be found here

---> A video of all new buildings in this season (14), in forthcoming design challenges and in ramadan specials can be found here

---> A chart of the War Vu - pass tier points can be found here

Most awards are the same as, or comparable to awards from previous seasons, but the number of unique new buildings from the free pass has steadily gone down. The free pass gave 5 unique new buildings since season 3 (when the seasons were shortened from 12 to 6 weeks). But since season 7 the free pass only gave 4 unique new buildings. Since season 11, the number of unique new buildings for the free pass is further limited: now you only can get 3 unique new buildings.

If this trend continues we will only get 2 unique new free buildings from season 15 onward, 1 unique new free building from season 19 onward, and no more unique new free buildings from season 23 onward.

The list is based on the assumption that the number of points that are needed for each tier will be the same as in the previous mayor's pass seasons . It cannot be checked yet.

The list contains the number of plumbob points that are needed for each tier and the awards from the free pass and the premium pass.

In the table below, "tier points" indicate the number of plumbob points needed to get to the indicated tier from the previous tier. "Total points" gives the number of plumbob points from start upto the indicated tier. The "weekly av." number indicates what your average weekly plumbob points score should be during 6 weeks if you want to reach that tier by the end of the season. The unique new reward buildings are indicated in bold in the rewards columns.

To get to tier 42 you will need a 102k weekly average. In the previous mayor's pass seasons there was a "double points week" in the last week (which only lasts 5 days because the season ends when the 6th CoM week ends). It is expected there will be a double points week again this season. Taking the double points week into account you need 87k we

Third Way by the Omani Mughal Caliphate in 1748

https://preview.redd.it/huhdlvogoz271.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49ff12043f8baf58ffd289417113a8de8a4e26ca

Started as Oman and got the Third Way achievement, normal difficulty. Most of the random blobs of land within my borders are Ibadi minors that I kept around to boost my Defender of the Faith bonuses. Ottomans seem to be underperforming in 1.31 on normal, which leaves plenty of time to snipe Jerusalem and the holy cities for extra missionaries. I tried my best to not conquer anything that wasn't Islamic, though I did conquer a bunch of Indian Sultanates to get to Bengal because Chittagong randomly flipped Sunni and I didn't want to build boats yet. Would have gotten the achievement sooner if Chanda didn't randomly flip Shia and forced me to fight an extra war in India at the end.

Total Number of Ibadi Provinces: 701

Ideas (in order): Quantity, Religious, Trade, Administrative, Offensive, Expansion (dropped), Diplomatic, Naval (2 ideas)

Coalitions formed: 1 (For some reason, Barus and Sambas formed a coalition of 2 even though it's against the rules. They didn't own any more Muslim land so I just ignored them and they eventually disbanded when I loaded in another session.)

Wars with Ottomans: 3

Trucebreaks: 1 (Ottomans)

Tier 3 Great Projects built: 5 (Alhambra, Murud-Janjira Fort, Registan Square, Suez Canal, Taj Mahal) + 3 because I had more money than I knew what to do with ( Aït Benhaddou, Hagia Sophia, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus)

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
