Quick question I had about in universe logic: Why don’t heroes like the avengers help out during any huge mutant attacks like sentinel attacks or the genosha massacre? Is it ever addressed? Cause it makes the avengers look like they’re part of the problem.
I know that out of universe it’s because having the avengers help out would defeat the purpose of the x-men comics. But like I would love to see Magneto calling out Captain America for not helping enough when lots of the crimes committed against mutants are with the express purpose of genocide against them.
I’d love to hear some thoughts, I’ve become a huge x-men fan over the last few months, read a bunch of shorter collections and now I’m working my way through Claremount’s run.

How do you all feel about this?
I ask this because over the past year I’ve started writing x reader, and honestly it’s been the most fun ever. I still love pairings and just generally adore writing most types of fanfiction, but I guess I get something out of writing x reader that I didn’t before.
For me personally, I don’t imagine myself at all. I also tend not to include Y/N in fics, but always keep the character of reader open to everyone reading (bar gender specifics, which I eventually want to get out of and open up the fics for everyone to feel included!).
If anything, a lot of my readers usually end up imagining “reader” as a character in themselves. I always try and take readers away from being a Mary Sue, since reading those types of fics personally is not enjoyable in the slightest. Maybe this is just me realising I quite like creating OC’s a lot more than I ever thought!
What do you guys think? I know x reader is absolutely not for everyone, since the stigma around it can often make people uncomfortable I guess. I’d be interested to see what others think.

This is a huge trade lot. Will probably have to split it but maybe somebody wants enough of these volumes to grant my trade wish for the Thor Omnis. If not it’ll be $15 per OHC, $10 per HC, $5 per TP except for Ultimate FF vol 2 which has some water damage that wrinkled but didn’t discolor a corner of the book so it’s free to whoever wants the ultimate FF stuff. So yeah I was just curious to type this in google "country humans x reader" because why not and almost every fanfic were for women, I am not sexist or anything like but just wanna know why
Lately, I've noticed that many writers prefer making the reader in their stories gender neutral/non-binary and I've been wondering how do the readers feel about them?
Personally, as a cisgender female, I don't mind these types of fanfics at all and I've read few that I really enjoyed, however, I have a slight problem with smuts. Now, this is all about my personal preferences, because I enjoy details! GN smuts usually lack these in sake of not specifying the reader's private parts, which is something that makes it less enjoyable to me. I personally love to have reader's biological sex specified while the pronouns can stay gender neutral.

I love marvel but I’m not too familiar with the comics. Do these teams interact much? Like if Thanos attacked the earth would the X-men and fantastic four jump in to help the Avengers? Would the Avengers jump in to help Fantastic Four fight Doctor Doom? Or do they only stick to their own villains? Like do the X-men only deal with mutant related threats? Also how can mutants possibly be hated in the same world where powered people like Avengers are celebrated?
