A list of puns related to "Atari Falcon"
And I guess that the DSP was expensive ( oh maybe not anymore in 1992 ). Why not make it optional like the floating point processor? Invest in more cache! Oh, I guess a great thing about the DSP is built in Code cache.
Finally, chunked video mode! Oh wait, it is only for hicolor. That is nice because the CPU has a lot of work to do for texture mapping a pixel anyway, so at least let it use the full bus for color information. But memory is byte addressed on Atari ST. CAD runs fine with 8 bit color like does flat shaded 3d vector and a blitter can be optimized to do two pixels ( one word ) at once. So why no chunks there?
Also if Atari had learned to parallel process multiple pixels for all blitter operations, they may have made the r/AtariJaguar a two times faster.
We had the pleasure of recapping an Atari Falcon along with a new RTC with fix and NVRAM and she is good for another 20 years...

Any questions just ask :-)
I've asked this on Atari Age before, so please forgive me if you saw the question there.
I stumbled across a bbs software during some google lamering called HELLS BBBS, supposedly written for the FALCON.. Asked around on AA, tried without much success to get it running. Looked at the code/textfiles, etc.. I dont really see much that would have utilized any of the Falcon's benefits compared to a regular old ST.
Does anyone here have experience with that software and can speak on any super c00l features it may have?
Does anybody know where one would get the atari falcon heavy crossover shirt from his latest video?
Alright, here we go. I'm dumping almost my entire artisan collection. There are two reasons for this: 1) a sudden financial difficulty that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible and 2) recently I've been focused on restoring a couple of Atari STEs and expanding my collection of hardware accessories and software to go with them. I had an Atari 520 STE as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s and it's a lot of fun working on building a new setup, restoring and preserving hardware and software from that long gone era. Because of this, my first priority is to sell and my second to see if there's anyone here that just happens to have any of this stuff for trade (and in very exceptional cases for sale).

Not sure if I should post this in the Amiga subreddit or the Atari subreddit, but is there an equivalent of AIAB for the Atari Falcon. I've never tried the Atari Falcon before, and it would be interesting to try it with a nice desktop, maximum colors, and all the rest of it.
Just was wondering..
My dad is a service technician at B + H and he used these for work in the late 80's - early 2000's for the Bell + Howell Mailstar 500 which are mail inserts. So far the machine appears to be in an excellent shape considering my dad basically had it shoved up in an attic. I have no way of testing it at the moment due to lack of proper cables and the right monitor, but my local flea market can provide. Any tips and tricks I should know before I open this bad boy? Thanks!
The motor is starting, stopping, pausing, and then doing that again for 2-3 minutes before stopping completely:

The Atari Falcon/030 boots, but only sees the A and B drives (floppy disk).
Can I declare the harddrive completely dead?
Thanks!
