Rightfully, the local media would have better access to the authorities or MAHB than their foreign counterparts. Further, given the sensitivity surrounding this case, one would imagine that whoever keeps the video recording would be hesitant to release it to the media, more so the foreign press (in this case, Fuji TV).
I don't quite buy the story that the foreign media is better at doing their jobs because I believe our local press can match their foreign counterparts, especially if it doesn't step on the toes of political masters (eg 1MDB).
It's very embarrassing that the local media got scooped in their own backyard by foreign journalists who possibly can't even string a sentence in Malay (although many of them rely on fixers).
Just watching a doc on BBC two called North Korea, murder in the family.
First of all, is it just me or does anyone agree the doc seems extremely like a propaganda piece? I find the constant drone music and intense horror audio effects are verging on comedic levels, and loads of the info were given hasn't been referenced so far (I'm only half way through as I write this).
Wondering whether this is just a clickbait-esque bad quality doc, or whether theres alterior motives at play. The reality of clickbait being used in a bunch of political campaigns today (Trump and Corbyn for instance) makes me wonder how many similar campaigns are run on our TV's.
As an example, the program goes on about how the two assasins of Kim Jong-nam say they thought they were involved in a youtube prank video and had no idea they were going to poison Jong-nam. They go on to say that the women washed the poison off their hands straight away after rubbing it on his face, just by chance, while Kim Jong-nam died within minutes.
Later in the show they mention how the chemical used was called VX, which is the most poisonous substance created in history achieving a lethal dose at just 10mg. If this was the case and the girls didn't know they were conducting an assassination, or even if they did know, is it not weird that they were not affected by the VX?
It's particularly poignant to me that it's release coincides with the current missile crisis which seems to be unfolding.
This sounds like im trying to incite a conspiracy thread, but I'm more interested in hearing what people have to say on the subject. Particularly want to hear peoples thoughts if they've watched too.
