A list of puns related to "Arnold Shapiro"
His favorite casts were BB3 and BB5, re-watching the older seasons of BB is so nostalgic
And the vibe of the show was so different in his time, it felt more like a competitive social experiment and now the show feels "Jersey Shore summer vacation"
BB7
BB6
BB3
BB2
BB5
BB4
All strong incredible seasons, BB4 being the black sheep of the Shapiro era. What do yโall think?
Ok level with me here guys... This is quite the stretch lol.
So All-Stars 1 (BB7) was known as Arnold Shapiro's send off and farewell to BB. Grodner was known to have fully taken over BB ever since Season 8. It is also known that Shapiro liked to cast unique and interesting people and had a more documentary vibe than the candy coated cartoon version of BB we have now (thanks Grodner). It is also a known fact that BB2 - BB7 just has stellar casts.
OK, with all that being said. WHAT IF casting Jaysar (BB6 & 7) for All-Stars 2 (BB22) is her sick joke at getting back at all of us super-fans and Shapiro in one fell swoop? She knows we've talked shit for years about how much better the show was with Shapiro and how we want Grodner to fly far away. Casting Jaysar and having them bullied and belittled by her own children (BB8 - BB21 casts) could be a sick way she is getting off & re-affirms in her mind the show is better post Shapiro.
Side note: if you go to CBS.com and check casts from previous seasons you can find all casts EXCEPT anything before BB8 (the first season Grodner took reigns). AKA all of Shapiro's seasons are wiped clean from the site.
Just my random conspiracy theory. Thanks for listening lol.
Thereโs often a stereotype associated with the executives who run our favorite teams: whip-smart young men with penchants for advanced mathematical modeling and Ivy League degrees to their names. But how does this archetypal image of MLBโs GM and PoBO sphere hold up in reality?
Scouring Wikipedia articles, LinkedIn pages, media guides, and the depths of local newspaper profiles, Iโve assembled a list of the top ~120 baseball executivesโpulling 3-5 from each teamโand their educational and occupational backgrounds. The job roles I pulled included presidents of baseball operations, general managers, vice presidents, assistant general managers, directors of operations, directors of analytics, and chief research and development folks.
I tracked their undergraduate majors, undergraduate schools, graduate degrees, graduate institutions, as well as executivesโ first experience working in baseball and any prior non-athletic career experience.
First, letโs look at undergraduate majors. From most frequent to least frequent, executives studied: economics (16), communications (8), history (8), business administration (7), finance (5), mathematics (5), english (4), political science (4), sports management (4), psychology (4), accounting (2), American studies (1), biomedical engineering (1), cognitive science (1), computer science (1), east Asian studies (1), eastern languages and civilization (1), education (1), engineering physics (1), food and nutrition (1), art history (1), industrial engineering (1), industrial labor relations (1), information technology (1), journalism (1), kinesiology (1), latin classics (1), mechanical engineering (1), molecular biophysics (1), physical education (1), public policy (1), sociology (1), sports marketing (1), statistics (1).
I wasnโt able to find majors for some of the older executives, but this seems like a broad enough sampling.
Now, for undergraduate colleges and universities. From most frequent to least frequent, executives attended: Harvard (7), Yale (7), Princeton (5), Dartmouth (3), Haverford (3), Northwestern (3), Notre Dame (3), UC Berkeley (3), Cornell (2), George Mason (2), Georgetown (2), MIT (2), Tufts (2), Tulane (2), UC Davis (2), UC San Diego (2), UChicago (2), UPenn (2), University of Illinois

Yes. That's true.
What's the big deal? Just poke a hole in it and pull it through!
Sure, but the point is to do it without making a hole.
But then it seems impossible!
You're right. You cannot do it with an ordinary sphere, like a basketball. You have to understand the rules of the game. This sphere is made of an abstract, elastics material that can stretch, and bend, and pass through itself; But you cannot rip or puncture this material without destroying it, and you cannot crease it, or bend it sharply.
If the surface can pass through itself, what's the problem?
Do you think allowing self-intersections makes it easy? Try it.
I'll push the two halves right through each other!
Be careful! What about that ring around the equator? Remember, you mustn't tear or crease it.
Ugh! Let me try again.
That's no good either, you're pinching it infinitely tight.
But then there's no way! It's impossible! You'd have to crease or pinch it to turn it inside out!
It is surprising, but watch this:
sphere proceeds to turn inside out
Is this it? Is this a sphere turning inside out?
You bet! That wasn't easy to follow, was it? To figure out what was going on, let's look at something simpler. A circle. We'll build a vertical wall along the circle so that we can color the two sides differently. Can you gradually turn this circle, into this other circle? Where the purple and gold sides are reversed, without creating sharp corners?
Of course! I can turn a rubber band inside out.
Remember, we're really trying to turn the circle inside out. We only built the wall so we could see the different sides.
Oh, yes. The wall has to stay vertical, and it can't have creases but it can pass through itself. Fine. Let me try.
proceeds to crease the circle
Watch out! That was a sharp bend! If we could make sharp bends in the material, we'd be able to turn any curve into any other, by moving each point of the initial curve in a straight line toward a target point in the final curve.
But I can avoid corners altogether by making a loop smaller and smaller!
That's an interesting idea, but pulling a loop tight is not really a gradual change. It's like having a corner in disguise. So it's against the rules.
Well if you can't have corners, and you can't pull loops tight, I think it's impossible to turn the circle inside out!
Yes. You're right.
Wait a minute. Am I supposed to believe you can tu

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
It really does, I swear!

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
