A list of puns related to "Anti Reflective Coating"
No Anti reflective coating on Surface Laptop 4.... does it bother you? After using Dell, I noticed the colors seem off, not sure if anyone else sees this.
Looking for prescription sports sunglasses for tennis and volleyball - buying in-person always seems to bring a bunch of add-ons (anti-glare, anti-scratch - suddenly an extra $100+) (I have VSP insurance covering a frame and lenses)
Know Costco is great with/without insurance to get lenses with no extra fees. Are there any other online stores for glasses that don't charge these extra lens fees - particularly sunglasses for sports?
I am looking for an anti reflective coating for eyeglasses that has the minimum amount of color reflection off the lenses, often referred to as bloom. When looking at someone wearing eyeglasses with an anti reflective coating you often see a blue, purple, or green hue caused by the anti reflective coating. The pair I had before my current glasses had a terrible purple hue that showed up in pictures. I ended up returning those glasses. My last pair of eyeglasses came from Costco which were the best I have found so far, however, since I no longer have a membership can anyone recommend another brand? I am considering an optical department that uses Zeiss DuraVision. Can anyone tell me their experience with the reflective hue on these lenses?
For the amount of money you pay just for one insert I am really surprised it doesn't have some kind of anti-glare coating especially given what they are designed for.
This may be a weird place to ask, but I havenβt worn glasses in years and itβs driving me crazy having to wash them in the sink every day. No one in IRL has been able to give solid advice because there are so many products.
I need an unscented lens cleaner safe for AR coated glasses that preferably doesnβt have alcohol. All of the reviews on Amazon are half bad half good. Iβd love some help.
Also since Iβm asking, what are the absolute best cloths to use?
People often say that Rolex doesn't use anti-reflective coating, but that hasn't been true for quite a while. Rolex first started putting AR under (and sometimes also on) the cyclops around 2005, but I haven't been able to nail down an exact date. That used to be the only place they put AR coating, but not anymore.
A couple years ago, "Watchmaker" from TRF noted that "Rolex are now fitting anti-reflective crystals to the Daytona...This information is from a Rolex technical document dated 08/2017." So Daytonas have had the undersides of their crystals AR-coated for a couple years now.
Recently, Rolex has added underside AR coating to the Subs and OP's. Rolex.com mentions "the anti-reflective coating applied to the back of the sapphire crystal on the new generation Oyster Perpetual" and "the anti-reflective coating applied to the back of the sapphire crystal on the new generation Submariner and Submariner Date."
And modern Cellinis actually have AR coating on both sides of the crystal.
Jocke's website has a good article that shows how to tell what kind of AR coating your Rolex has based on the laser-etched crown. If there's an extra oval inside the crown's oval, it has AR on the underside. If there's a line inside that oval, it has AR on the top too.
Looking to buy a new macbook pro soon. I was wondering if the current macbooks have the issue where the anti-reflective coating comes off and leaves annoying smudges on the screen? My late 2013 macbook pro is victim to this and it bugs the hell out of me.
Many monitors has this issue, can take the asus vg259qm as example, the coating of the panel makes it blurry.
Upon quick google searches I can't seem to find any tcg card cases that offer ar or uv coatings to maximize clarity and/or fading prevention. At the very least they're all acid free, but I'm really not a fan of how much the clarity degrades and how tinted a lot of the card cases are. I used to work in a frame shop, and am spoiled from the excellent clarity that AR coated glass and acrylic offer. It would be nice to pay a premium to see the cards better through their cases, and not have to worry about fading from UV, especially since some cards can be worth thousands. And as an extension, I don't get why grading companies offer similar options for their cases.
I have anti-reflective coating on all my glasses, and it just doesn't do a good job. Every time I look at a light source or my TV I notice small amounts of glare. I thought originally that maybe it was due to smudges on my glasses, but it seems as though no matter how well I clean them, my vision is never clear.
Thoughts?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, early 2015). Is the anti-reflective coating wearing off? Will Apple repair this free of charge? What should I do?

Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with the screens on the latest iPad Pro, iPad Air and the iPad mini. Do they have the same level/quality of anti reflective coating?
