Is it normal for a country like Nicaragua to get invited to the anti-comintern pact? What are the requirements for the event to fire?

Historical - Japan rejected Anti-Comintern Pact

How does this even happen? Isn't historical supposed to be... historical? I just noticed this, and it's already mid-1937.

Is there any way I can flip Japan to a signatory (via console commands)? Or is my run fucked?

Italy and Japan keep rejecting the anti-Comintern pact.

This is like my 4th game as Germany that this has happened, historical focus is on everything is as it should be yet for whatever random reason fascist nations like Italy,Japan,Spain keep rejecting the pact while Romania who isn't even fascist keeps accepting it! each and every time, like wtf is this..

All of the above makes it very hard for later on to get Italy and Japan in the Axis, i realise i could just not do the focus tree but then why is it there in the first place? idk if this is a bug but it's really weird.

[Suggestion] Bad Italy-Germany relations before signing the Anti Comintern Pact, Fascist Council

After World War 1, Italian king Vittorio Emanuele III did not saw Britain as an enemy. Instead Fascist Italy celebrated WW1 victory in parades. The victory earned with British against Germans.

Italy joined League of Nations and Mussolini remained in this alliance until 1937.

And different voices arose in Germany, The volkisch movement later will be known as "nationalsozialistische deutschen arbeiter partei". They quickly spreaded to Austria. They demanded north Italy. As a result, Mussolini banned German language in daily use. Further read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Tyrolean_independence_movement

And in 1932, pro-Italian and anti-pangermanist Engelbert Dolfuss and Vaterlandische Front rose to power in Austria. His ideology "Austrofascism" gained support from anti-nationalsocialist liberals and conservatives while angering social-democrats who consisted of protestants and they wanted to unite with Germany under a democratic rule. Austrofascist slogan was "ΓΆsterreich ΓΌber alles", they thought being Austrian is more important than being German and instead of racial chauvinism they used Catholic corporatism as motive. Hungary, Romania, Albania and Bulgaria tried to side with Mussolini as they saw him as an anti-communist leader. Metaxas, even though copying fascism, opposed Mussolini as Mussolini occupied Greek territories Corfu before (and Mussolini used it as a war propaganda) and Dodecanese which are still occupied then banned the Greek language. And nationalsocialists rose to power in Germany, they were copying fascism too. But to Italy they were not brothers in ideology but just pan-Germanists, a threat to Italian expansion.

In Austria, violence between nationalsocialists and austrofascists continued and nationalsocialists asassinated Engelbert Dolfuss in 1934. Austrofascists losing their figurehead started losing popularity. Kurt Schuschnigg (starter leader of Austria in standard gameplay) took leadership of Vaterlandische Front and continued the Austrofascist movement. Everyone knew the nationalsocialists of Austria under Artur Seyss Inuquart (who is fascist leader in hoi4) did this in order of Hitler and Italy felt threatened again.

Why Italy and Austria are enemies in Hearts of Iron 4? They were both fascists, catholics (this was important for Austria as the Austrian identity is inherently catholic. Like how catholicism was important to Polish fascists that they tried to ally with Spain, ONR-Falanga moment). Lets continue

What happends with the Anti-Soviet Pact after the Comintern falls?

So I am currently going down the "Our Place in the Sun" and the "Ideological Defenses" path as better Germany. My plan is to capitulate the Soviets, and then attack the Allies, but I have one question: what happends with my Faction after the SU dies?

Does the Faction dissolve and can if, can I create a new one (I obviously bypassed the Central Powers)? What happends with the Italian Empire and Austria-Hungary? Do I have to fight the Allies alone?

It's my first playthrough! Chose Italy and just took Yugoslavia. It's March 1938. I've signed the Anti Comintern pact and chose the Albanian national focus. Any tips on how to proceed?

Watched some tutorials and I think I grasped the basics (except for naval warfare. No idea there). Any ideas as to what to do? Should I go for Albania and then Greece and throw my lot in with Germany? I have 87 odd factories now with my annexation so I could probably start building more stuff now. What about Africa? Should I start building up my navy? Man my head is just running with so many questions atm.

The Estonian Government has been displeased and worried about the rise of Communism throughout the world especially in regions such as Lithuania and Bangladesh. The Estonian Government has decided to face this crisis of Communist regimes popping up by reforming the Anti-Comintern Pact originally created by Germany and Japan in 1936. The Estonian Government invites all nations to sign on to this pact in an effort to quell a potential surge in Communism.

According to the Anti-comintern pact, "neither parties would make any political treaties with the Soviet Union. Why did Germany do the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact with the Soviets and how did Japan react?

So I've been reading up on WW2 history lately and this one really caught my eye. Considering that Japan and Germany both allied later, why did Germany still do the MR pact with the Soviets? I imagine that the Japanese must have been very pissed.

What if, in 1938, Poland agreed to join the Anti-Comintern Pact?

In 1934, Nazi Germany and the Second Polish Republic signed the German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact; in 1938, Germany tried to get Poland to join its Anti-Comintern Pact. In OTL, Poland refused.

But what if they didn't, and Poland joined Germany, Japan, Italy, and Spain to form the Axis?

No doubt there's still a war with the Soviet Union. But if Poland is a Germany ally, it doesn't require an invasion of Poland to attack the Soviet Union. France and the United Kingdom don't declare war on Germany.

So there's no British Guarantee to Poland, there's no Danzig Crisis. September 1, 1939, is just another date on the calendar. Italy invades Albania, but not Greece or Egypt. There's no Western Front, no fall of France, no Dunkirk, no Battle of Britain.

War between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany is inevitable, but when does it begin, and who invades who? Who wins?
