My GF and I play together co-op almost daily as seperate users on the same Switch, and my nook mile bonus streak is suddenly broken almost every time i log in and claim it. It never breaks for her even if I launch the game first (she is the island "owner"), but for me as a co-op player it often does.
I did a google search and found almost no reports of this. But did find one directly to Nintendo support in Mid April:

Hey guys!
We have been hard at work making a website, Completionista, to help all of you keep track of your bugs, fish, fossils and nook miles, with more to come once we have the base fleshed out. The site has the ability to tick off what you've collected and show you what you're missing, and how/when to collect it.
Its all still in beta, so there's many things to come, but we're happy to release it to the public. If there's anything you feel is missing, needs to be tweaked or is outright broken then please let us know.
Currently the site is:
- Free, and will remain free forever!
- Mobile friendly, we know a lot of you are playing Switch in one hand and phone in the other, and we made sure it looks just as good on there as on PC
- Sorting, sort anything by location, size, time and more to come
- Account based, so you can login on your phone, tablet, PC or even your 3DS, and your progress will be saved
Planned features:
- Southern Hemisphere, whether you're one of our Aussie brothers or you just prefer a little less reality, support for that is coming very soon™!
- Colour schemes & dark mode, lets be honest, we all like making things look just the way we want them here, so we'll be adding multiple themes and dark mode + AMOLED mode
- What's available now?, we'll be adding a quick overview of what you can catch now
- Flowers, we'll be adding a collection list for flowers and all their colour variants as soon as the big 3 are nailed down
- Crafting DIY's, this is a big one that will take a while, but we're going to work towards this once we have the feedback systems in place so you guys can help us fill out the parts we don't know
