I'm just curious. Also, how is McFife king of the universe, let alone just the galaxy when clearly he is not also King of California because Ser Hootsman is the undisputed king of that region?
Hey everyone,
We are pregnant with our second child and we pretty much came down to the wire choosing a name for our existing little boy. His name is Angus, and he goes by Gus.
If we have a girl this time, we’re all set as we have an old family name set aside. If we have a boy, we’re looking for something that:
- goes well with Angus
- is classic, the kind of name your grandfather has
- doesn’t end with -ER (our last name and the middle name does and it sounds funny)
- goes with the middle name Peter
Also, I realize our kid is named Angus, but we aren’t looking for a Scottish/Irish theme. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
Our second little boy is due in 7 weeks' time and, unlike his older brother Henry, we can't settle on a name for him.
We've culled the list down to three, two of which have nicknames that I also like:
August - Augie for short, which I think is cute
Alfred - Alfie for short. Again, a cute nickname and one that possibly has more longevity when he's grown up than Augie
Angus - Love the full name, but detest the nickname 'Gus' which he'll probably get called by when he's at school etc
Would love views on the top three or alternates.

If your into power metal, then you probably know what the band gloryhammer is. Gloryhammer is a intergalactic space power metal band that tells the tale of a warrior prince/knight named angus mcfife.
Tales from the kingdom of fife, the first album, tells the story of an evil sorcerer known as zargothrax who writes a prophecy to corrupt the land of dundee, yes in real life there is a city known as Dundee, which zargothrax succeeds in doing so and kidnapped the princess whom angus loved dearly. So angus mcfife goes on a quest to find a mystical hammer, a magic dragon, and the powerful amulet of justice. With these powers combined, like a megazord, angus uses them to go and defeat zargothrax for good, with the help of the barbarian of unst (more on him later). But then as soon as angus finds zargothrax for a supposedly final confrontation in cowdenbeath, zargothrax falls into a liquid ice that never melts and he is imprisoned.
Now the second album takes place in the year 1992 and from generation to generation, there are 13 sons who use the name angus mcfife to honor thier ancestors. Each of them are supposed to guard the imprisoned zargothrax for if he ever returned. One day on the planet Triton, the space knights of crail are under a battle lead by angus to protect the imprisoned zargothrax before he could escape but saddly they failed after a member of the chaos cult freed zargothrax from his prison. Angus decides to seek an alliance with the quest lords of Inverness and the reluctantly agreed to help angus.
Meanwhile with zargothrax, he goes beneath dundee and searches for the crystal that unlocks and unleashes a demon known as kor-viliath.
A battle takes place on dundee, with yet again the same barbarian from the first album. And at the end of the battle, they all lose. But things take a turn for the worse when a messenger named ralathor warns the heroes of the demon lord kor-viliath. Now remember the barbarian I was talking about? Well as it turns out the barbarian lived for so long over the century's is because the barbarian who now goes by the hootsman is a cyborg and now the barbarian makes the ultimate sacrifice at the cost of the planet and of dundee itself. But it's not over yet because zargothrax escaped through a portal that the hootsman accidentally made after destroying the planet. And of course angus follows him and finish him once and for all.
The third album takes place shortly after the second album and angus mcfife loses zargothrax
