A list of puns related to "Amos Urban Shirk"
i mean MCU or DCU and such. i have recently watched The Eternals and from start to end this movie is full of shirk at its peak. but i wonder if the watchers commits shirk too if they watch those type of movies or atleast holds some responsibility for watching?
Idk man i live in lahore i got a lot of Christian friends whom have invited me to parties.
To wish me and others on Eid.
Why is it wrong if we say it back to them?
It is to be expected that, lets use a popular example, in Shounen Anime, male characters will be very prominent, and its all but assured in most cases that THE main character will be male. Thats standard, thats fine, but it should not be an excuse to shirk those outside of the male gender. To be clear, I dont like when Shoujou does this extreme either. An opposite extreme is still an extreme, just because a show is written for young girls doesnt mean the male characters should be shirked, and so on.
This matters even more when you see how well the characters are written, but once a female or non-demographic-in-general character shows up, suddenly their brains turn off and the writing is poor, or the representation is questionable, or the character is weak, whatever.
Zatch Bell doesn't have...the best...representation of non-Japanese groups, but there are at least SOME bangers in there, like Sherry, Folgore, etc, both of whom are White, one English (I think), one Italian. BUT THEN THERE'S THE BLACK CHARACTERS! One of them is blatantly racist in terms of how they're drawn, and the other is WAY better but his personality is that of a coward and trickster. The second character is a hunter, and while not bad per say, his personality is kind of unfortunate, like, its one thing to be a tactical hunter, but its another to be a meanspirited cowardly cheating fool. And he's like one of the only black characters too.
What I'm saying is that, if you have a target demographic, thats fine. If you want that demographic to be prominent, thats fine! But you might as well not even have characters from other demographics if you refuse to use your talents to flesh them out, or even make a FEW of them prominent members of the story. I wont go over unfortunate representation and sexist or racist representation or other such topics, as those have been done to death. I simply wanted to make a more generalized version of the conversation.
Point is, dont shirk other demographics (in terms of writing characters FROM them) just because you wanna market to one (IRL) in particular. I don't know about you, but if I was tasked with making a show that targets the young male or the [insert country, USA for example] demographic, I'm not gonna turn my brain off when adding characters from other demographics. I'm gonna put time and effort into it.
I came from a Muslim majority country famous for its myriad of cultures, some of them have existed since the pre-Islam age and are still practiced in this age. You may familiar with concept of thanking the nature by giving harmless sacrifices, like offering fruits and buffalo's head to the sea, giving gestures of salutation to "unseen forces", and many more. If it's done by non-Muslim, then it is perfectly fine, but when the people who practice them had identify themselves as Muslims, it may spark some problems and confusion.
They often retort by saying that this is just their way to thank Allah SWT for His gifts of abundance, but they would still give food to the sea as tribute to the unseen forces claimed to rule the domain to sustain the good relation made by their ancestors to the unseen forces (akin to friendly gift exchange between countries). Calling it wrong would not be right, for I have no power to stop a tradition, and the fact that I acknowledge such culture as historic/intellectual wealth that must be preserved.
My questions are must it persist, or must it be halted? Can such practices be considered as acts of Shirk?
P.s. I know that this is not a matter of outmost importance or concern. I simply wanted to hear your opinion
I'm just gonna make this short :)
So about a year ago, i started doubting islam a bit and, stopped praying and started looking at Christianity. This lasted for about 3 weeks to a month. Would this be considered shirk? I was thinking of really converting to Christianity but decided to start praying again and go back to islam alhamdulilah. I have repented and asked for forgiveness to Allah SWT. Thanks for the answers :)
I only did one savage tier last expansion (5.0) so I'm a bit rusty. I honestly can't remember if shirk was always such a finicky damn button. As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with my macro for it, but someone told me it's not actually worth macroing because of how unreliable it tends to be? Has it somehow gotten worse over the years? Has it always been this way? Is it just something you have to babysit during your whole goddamn weave window to make sure the fuckin thing actually went off?
It's annoying as fuck clipping GCD because you look and yep it didn't go off, better keep mashing it now and lose uptime or your cotank is going to absolutely fucking clown on you when they get auto'd into Narnia.
Is this just part of the skill ceiling for tanking?
I don't need to know whether is real, effective, or scientifically proven tho, just wanna know what I mention in the title.
Al Salamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters on reddit. Pretty much the title. For context, my sister bought a Tarot card deck a couple months ago off of the internet. She started telling my family things that might/will happen in the future. Every time I see her doing this, I tell her this this is complete and utter shirk but she always either laughs or she doesnt take it seriously at all. The unfortunate thing is that my parents/family actually believe her (I am the only one who does not believe it at all) So the question is, is this shirk (I am pretty sure it is but Im not 100% sure) and how can I stop this?
Hi all/Salaam,
I know that many of you here are Quran-only, I guess I'm more of an 'approach Hadith knowing there's a lot of grey area' type of person. I really appreciate how many of you have contextualized Hadith or made sense of the chain of narrations here, it does make sense to me why we have to be careful given how it's been transmitted virtually as a telephone game.
There are some hadith I've either seen or saw floating around: one which said, if a woman obeys her husband (or something like if she pleases her husband/her husband is happy with her) she will enter paradise, another (which I heard once but don't know what it was talking about) seem to kind of imply a woman would prostrate to her husband if it was allowed or something?
I am very confused by hadiths like this, because imo, the patriarchal notions almost sound shirk-like to me. Shouldn't women, like men, be concerned about obeying Allah(SWT) and not a regular human being, not to mention, one who has the high possibility of being extremely flawed due to social conditioning by society? Not all women will be wives for some reason or the other, whether personal choice or even a result of patriarchy itself (people reject women all the time based on skin color, social status, disability, etc.). It's depressing how these ideas are bombarded on "Islamic pages" and when any person disagrees, they start making you feel guilty for questioning something apparently "allowed in Islam". When I was a teen in high school and Facebook was new at the time, I followed an Islamic reminder page and it had a laundry list of "how to be a good Muslim wife", which included "smile and nod when your husband talks about boring things like sports and computers", "laugh at his jokes even when you don't understand", lmao? As if there isn't the possibility of a scenario where the wife might know more about sports and computers than her spouse? Then just a few days ago, I saw something similar on an Instagram page "smell nice for your husband, dress pleasant for him, learn how to cook his favorite dish for a way to a man's heart is through his stomach". It's depressing that we're in 2021 and Islamic pages share content like this, with people in the comments actually supporting such outdated ideas.
I'm not sure, and I really want to make sure that I am not. So, I'm debating the idea of the existence of a god with an atheist friend of mine. As a starting point supporting the existence of Allah, I brought up the idea of hypothetical higher dimensional beings (4d, 5d, 6d, etc). I said that to us 3d beings, higher dimensional beings can easily be seen as god-like to us, and 4d beings can choose whether we detect them just like we can choose to touch a 2d piece of paper. So my question: is describing these hypothetical higher dimensional beings as god-like for the purpose of convincing an atheist that an all-powerful god can easily exist Shirk?
(EXAMPLE:) Wearing a shirt that has kufur but you don't know cause its in Japanese letters will you got to hell for kufur?
Edit: Please give me your evidences and ahadeeth or scholar advice
>In Islam, Shirk is the sin of idolatry or polytheism. Islam teaches that God does not share His divine attributes with any partner. Associating partners with God is disallowed according to the Islamic doctrine of Tawhid. -- Wikipedia
The title sounds helplessly provocative as you would expect when arguing about such matters, so I apologize for offending anyone and I hope we may have a civil discussion. I will try to make my point as clear as possible.
The Qur'an and Hadith without a doubt put a great emphasis on a pure, uncorrupted, original, natural, universal Monotheism. It is the fundamental proposition of Islam. But, surprisingly, Islam as a whole religion and culture is inconsistent with its own sensitive standards of Monotheism, and I will show why. Another example of such blatant contradiction and hypocrisy against its own primal principle is in Christianity, as it argues in favor of a single Creator God, and vehemently opposes all "paganism", yet it attributes a literal, physical genealogy to Godhead, or outright deifies a human being. A Trinity apologist will put forward rhetorics like that Jesus is only one of the three "manifestations" of the same, single Divinity. But the apologetic rhetoric will not satisfy anyone except the apologist and the believer. Someone who relies on his God-given reason and common sense can not be content with mind-dazzling rhetorics or conjecture if he is after the truth, or at least something close to it.
I was raised in a Muslim country and environment and I'm well versed with Islamic knowledge, creed, and terminology. Islam's two main tenets are, La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah. The first sentence is a profession of Monotheism, the second one is an assertion about Revelation and Prophethood. By definition, Monotheism is not dependent upon Revelation/Prophethood, and the latter is only optional for the former, if at all permitted.
Monotheism, very superficially, is belief that a God exists, and It is numerically and qualitatively singular. God is the creator and master of the universe and source of all moral authority. Oneness and unity of God means that He possesses Unique, Matchless attributes that are far above and beyond creatures. These Sublime qualities constitute His Divinity, thus they can not be "shared" with humans or other creatures. In other words, there are no "partners" in His exclusive attributes. He is the Supreme Being, All-Powerful, All-
... keep reading on reddit β‘I know that associating another divinity to Allah SWT is a major sin. So major in fact that it will not be be forgiven if you do not repent and seek forgiveness before you die. Which is why i am aksing this question.
I do not want to take any risk and make sure that I am not committing this grave sin unintentionally by doing something that would seem normal or harmless in today's society. I am morbidly afraid of doing it through something that would seem trivial at first glance.
Despite having searched on the internet in the past, I haven't really found any satisfactory answers. To be on the safe side though I do try everyday to seek forgiveness in case I have unknowingly committed Shirk.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope I did not bother anyone by the simplicity of this question
Sorry for the stupid question, but i finally got to doing endgame stuff (ex trials and raids) and was setting up a Shirk macro as im used to tank swaps just being βco-tank taunted off of meβ and nothing more.
I noticed threads with macros having a couple things im confused about.
they always have the <2> in it, is this something i will need to change for every run or does the game always put my co-tank as 2?
i notice the macros always have a bunch of lines and the reasons behind it confused me. I have a tendency to spam a button a couple times before it goes off and donβt want to mess it up so i want to know the reason behind this and if my button mashing will mess it up.
I really used to like mbti before getting into islam but some people i don't trust say that it's haram but idk i don't trust them. Tell me about it it is like astrology or something ?
It is haraam to swear by anything other than Allaah, whether that be oneβs father or leader, or on oneβs honour or status, etc, because it is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: βWhoever swears an oath then let him swear by Allaah or else keep silent.β Agreed upon.
And he said: βWhoever swears an oath, let him not swear by anything other than Allaah. Narrated by al-Nasaaβi. And he said: βWhoever swears an oath by anything other than Allaah has committed shirk.β
What if you like kufr because it was kufr, do you lose your religion? And what if you like kufr or shirk thoughts not because they were kufr, but for another reason? And what if you like kufr or shirk not because it was kufr , but for another Reason? Can you please provide authentic evidence?
Assalamulaykum,
So I have a huge problem. Alhamdulilah I pray 5x daily, but for some reason, starting yesterday, whenever I pray in front of a wall for example, I feel like I am worshipping the wall, or a bed if there is one in front of me. When I make dua, I feel like I'm asking the wall, or if I make dhikr, I feel like I'm asking the ceiling. I Absolutely 100% despise these feelings, and I try to fight them, but they keep coming back. I even wanted to skip Salah so I don't commit shirk again, and I keep repeating my shahadah after any form of worship. Can someone help me please? JazzakAllah Khayr!
Ψ¨Ψ³Ω Ψ§ΩΩΩ Ψ§ΩΨ±ΨΩ Ω Ψ§ΩΨ±ΨΩΩ Ψ so i know that shirk is a very important sin and it cannot be forgiven, but if a child commited it before puberty (lets say menstruation for girls and pubic hair for boy) can it be forgiven? If the child (now balgh (adult in islam) ) understands that it is wrong now and only believes in Allah and regrets it can it be forgiven since they were a child without enough knowledge? Or is it still unforgiveable.
Hello folks. I always loved the colors, the lights and the vibes during Christmas, and since i live in a secular country where the number of muslims and christians are almost equal, i tend to usually go to Christmas markets, take pictures of nice christmassy decorations and go on Christmas dinners (if invited). But i never set a Christmas tree in my own house or hosted a Christmas dinner nor i believer that Jesus pbuh was born during this period. I just like the vibes of Christmas especially when i travel to Europe during this time. Is this considered shirk? Now that Iβm am expecting a baby soon, my husband informed me that nth related to Christmas should be celebrated, but i would like to take my daughter to Christmas festivals, take pictures with Santa etc because i remember when i was a kid, i loved Santa and Christmas time. I just dont feel its a religious holiday for me, just a secular worldwide one. Your thoughts on this?
salaam every1. so ive got a question: im an avid daydreamer and have a very vivid and detailed imagination, also quite visual dreams at night. its mostly about things id like to have or achieve in this life such as win a tournament, having a loving spouse, and so on. however i consciously refrain from going there cos i believe that if i do, it doesnβt come true. it sounds ridiculous but yesterday i wondered for the first time, is this even allowed? islamically speaking. it is possible that im shirking astagfirullah
