A list of puns related to "Altrincham"
Afternoon,
I've been really trying to get my cycling on recently - but my flatmate who I usually ride with has been a bit lacklustre in wanting to really push distance and average speed etc. My Strava profile is one big plateau sadly!
Wondering if anyone around this neck of the woods would like a cycling buddy to make sure I actually get out on the roads. Hate cycling too long on my own.
Cheers,
Yo, I'm looking for a pub quiz on a Sunday, ideally around Altrincham or thereabouts. Wanting to do one on this upcoming Father's Day
Hi All, hope everyone is coping well despite the ongoing pandemic (I hope it is ok to post this here - happy for it to be removed if not). I am a member of a large international survey project looking at the impact of COVID-19 on the entire population of countries, including people in the UK (and Altrincham!). The project involves almost 200 investigators in more than 35 countries and has been endorsed by multiple national and international professional organizations and ethical approval has also been obtained from the University of Southampton and from Aberystwyth University (for the UK side of the project). The COH-FIT project aims to identify risk and protective factors that will inform prevention and intervention programs for the COVID-19 pandemic and should other pandemics occur in the future. We are hoping if anyone is kind enough to spend just about 30mins on this survey - we will be so grateful to you. The findings will be of huge importance in improving our understanding of the impact of the pandemic and how to cope with it. Here's more info about the project: https://www.coh-fit.com/ and the survey (Many thanks!): https://redcap.neuroscienze.unipd.it/surveys/?s=XHPATW473D
We have found a really nice house in Timperley. I wanted to get some suggestions on the area and if it is overpriced. The house is 4 bed terraced, 350k+.
It is only two of us at the moment and we are hoping to have a kid in a year and would want an area with good schools around, low crime, all right transport to city centre (my wife works at St. Peter's square close to tram station).
We went to the area and it seems really chill nice place. Looking at streets, it is very clean and tidy as opposed to what we are used in arounds of Ancoats.
Edit: the house is in lease, 235 years left, Β£125 per year ground rent
At the end of episode 5 of season 2 it says "in the end, almost all Lord Altrincham's proposed changes were implemented". Does anyone know which of the 6 suggestions was not followed?
The season for this lower league looks bizarre, will they play off all the remaining games during summer?
Let's say it happened with Man C having played 8+ games less than the most played team, how would they solve this in PL??
We're looking to stay in Manchester permanently now having been here for a year on secondment. We're now looking for where to buy.
We've ended looking at Trafford for the schools, mainly Sale and Altrincham to give my daughter the best chance of getting into AGSG but didn't really see anything we liked in our price range (max Β£365k).
There are lots of good other grammar and state schools in Trafford but we want our daughter to have the best possible chances.
Now we're looking at Davyhulme, Flixton and Urmston.
Anyone know if those are too far away from AGSG or is just being in Trafford good enough as a catchment? I've read that you've got next to no chance living outside Trafford Council area.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks
Hello,
I need to order a bereavement gift for someone who lives in Altrincham. Budget is $200 - 250 CAD.
I have found Bradfords who appear to do hampers however, I would like something that is flowers and food (i.e. cheese, crackers etc) from the same company. I could always order separately. I did look at Marks and Spencers but my google searches aren't bringing up much. Do you have any ideas?\
More importantly, what is the standard bereavement 'gift' in the UK? In CA, we generally do flowers.
Thank you
