I am looking for a full supercharger rebuild kit for the N62 from an E65 Alpina B7 that includes all the seals, compressor wheel, and bearings. I have tried a couple different sources but it seems that nobody has them anymore.
Anyone know where I might be able to source one?
Title says most of it. Looking into a used Alpina, mostly 2013-2015 models, yes I know I need to be prepared for repair bills. Usually I would think this is just a bad listing and not trust it, but I'm seeing this on a bunch of listings on different sites so I'm curious if some amount of these certain years use a standard 7 series back for some reason.
I've been wondering what does the Alpina badge change about a BMW. Is it just more luxury options, more power or just the bagde and name? I got quite confused when multiple people were saying that the 760Li is the flagship of BMWs and it can't get better that that and than other people were arguing with them saying the B7 is superior. I'd love to know what are rhe differences and which one is the true ultimate BMW sedan.
Does anyone here have experience with higher mileage G12 Alpina B7s and can speak to their reliability? I am thinking of getting a CPO with ~30k miles, but all of the warnings about the N63 and the relative rarity of the model has me a bit concerned that it will turn into a money pit (even more so than a regular 7 given the low production volumes of Alpina parts).
I’m thinking about upgrading from my current car (Volvo V70R) to a 2013 Alpina B7. I understand that BMW products have reliability issues and out of warranty they’re incredibly expensive to maintain but I personally haven’t owned one so I’m not sure what to expect, it has 56k miles and seems to be in pretty good shape. If y’all have input on what to look out for while looking at it or a different BMW product to look at instead I’m all ears. Thanks.
